Does anyone watch the show "House" on Fox Tuesdays at 9pm? Link: http://www.fox.com/house/

Honestly, the show totally kicks ass. Supposedly it takes place somewhere in New Jersey. I think I definitely need a doctor like this - someone who is going to take all the symptoms and put them together like a puzzle!

I think then perhaps I would feel less like a piece of me is dying every day...!

On tonight's rerun, they mentioned Jefferson - but only in reference to him requesting that a female MD return to work for him instead of going to work at Jefferson.

Too bad it's not reallllllllllllll! I also have an episode on tape about a neonatal unit.

It does kick ass, Carrie! I only discovered it in May, so I haven't seen many episodes... but the one's I have are great. The guy is totally unlikeable, but brilliant. He has a heart, too. I didn't see it tonight, but they had a special episode last night.
Fascinating stuff, especially if you're at all interested in medicine.

There certainly are some interesting cases on that show, like nani said, he's kind of unlikeable, but it is a neat program. See if you can look him up and invite him over to the board, I'm sure we can keep him busy for awhile :D

I love that show, Carrie...Does anyone remember what movie he was in before "House" . That's right...he played the "Father" in Stuart Little. He's actually British and does a great American accent.

I missed the first few shows...but haven't missed it (time willing, anyway)...since.

Season 2 premiere is 9/13 and the season 1 DVD set comes out on 8/30... Very kewl show!

Love that show!

Why can't we have brilliant doctors like him? Although, if you notice, he, and his team, almost kill the poor patient before they finally hit on the cure [smiley=huh.gif]

He's also in the BBC shows Blackadder, Jeeves and Wooster, and a Bit of Fry and Laurie.

the draw of this show is that the lead character is unlikeable to such a high degree that it draws on the parallel that a pug dog is so ugly, they're cute. for the truly cynical and sarcastic this show is like a big warm blanket.

Hmmmm.....that about describes me pretty damn well! ;)

From what I understand, the show bothers some people in the medical field because of having so many inaccuracies - I don't even care if it does or not! It's just very witty and I like the puzzle solving process. :) (My mom's best friend thinks that someday I'm going to end up becoming a forensic nurse because I've seen so much Law and Order and the like...that I probably already know how to do the job! Love puzzle solving!)

Hugh Laurie also plays the voice of one of the characters in "Valiant."

I saw him as a guest on Jay Leno or Conan one night (forget which) and I didn't know at the time that he was British. Now every time I watch "House" - I can tell more! But he really does quite a good American accent - what's more is the British character on the show - if it were me, that's all I would need to be stuck in an accent....whenever I'm around people from the south, my southernness that I haven't had since I was 5 comes hopping back out. So that's some talent!

He's really good looking, too! Those eyes!! ;)

"House" is excellent! That Doc is my hero.

I also dig the shows "Lost" "Arrested Developement" "Over There" "Will and Grace" and of course my fave "Medium" with Patricia Arquette.

Over There depicts the war and its effect both here and there. Very good, gripping, brave new show.
The new "Battlestar Galactica" is great too, whereas I HATED the 70's cheese series. Back then, as a kid my favorite series was "SOAP" - Who is hip to THAT show?
