I was reading the boards today when I got an IM from totally_male_2005 or something to that effect (don't remember exactly, I hit the ignore button after I realized he was unsavory) saying "HI Leggs" I asked who it was, because I use that no where but HERE, and that is the only attachment to my IM. I thought it may be one of the CHers having a meltdown and looking for someone to talk to.

He told me he was Joe, 24, male, NZ<<whatever the hell that means, and asked if I wanted to hear a story.

So now I realize he is obviously not a CHer. I told him my mother told me not to talk to strangers, and I didn't want to hear anything if he couldn't say it to my husband.

He tells me this BS about he searched "beautiful women" on yahoo, and it came up with leggs and my IM.

I wrote that I was a 42 yo wife a mother and a sufferer from one of the most painful conditions known to humans, and the only place I used that leggs was at a support site for the condition. The only reason I had answered was because I thought it was someone from that site. I didn't have time to play around with a junior pervert, and to cut it out before his mother came in. Then I hit the ignore button..

The only thing I can think is this is one of the trolls messing with me. Really pissed me off.

If you dont know the person....dont answer!!

If it was someone from here they could have PM'ed you....NEVER answer an IM you dont know!!

Plus: always be on alert if you get a PM from here if you dont know who it is.

Maybe it was my screenname, but that was my nick name in high school because the ZZ top song came out around then ;;D

Well, I certainly know for the future. I think I will just go in my set up and take out the yahoo IM. I have talked to people from here before, and as soon as I say "And you are who, and I know you from where?" The would say their CH screenname.

Just really infuriated me that someone comes HERE and messes with me. Who ever you are, buzz off.

I get creepy little dweebs on practically a daily basis sending messages. It starts off innocently enough. I always say hello because I always think it could be someone from here and to be fair, I've had an awful lot of new people from here message me over the past few months but anyway..
My attitude is if someone can't read my profile and they try it on they are fair game for some of the most profane abuse I can dish out!
I would make a sailor blush!! LOL
If they are capable of ever feeling horny again after I've finished insulting them I'd be most surprised!

I used to frequent a night club quite regularly, and the disc-jockey there loved it when I'd come threw the door. It didn't matter what was spinning...I'd walk in, and it was like there was some sort of attention button under the bouncers stool or something because no matter what was playing it was scratched and ZZ Top/Legs started playing. I swear he had that qued-up every friking night just waiting for me to walk threw the damn door.

maybe he typed into google and came up with a post from the board... and got your name from that... I've had weird stuff happen like that.... Once I got IM'd and the guy said Hi Im 6ft tall 180 lbs and I'll be in Boston for business want to meet me for a steamy afternoon.... Unless you set your preferences differently, when you are online on yahoo, you are visible anywhere to anyone who has yahoo, and if they see your name on a website, or email list, or on your profile, it will show if you are online. You can set your preferences so you don't show yourself as being online to others when they see you somewhere.

You need to edit your profile in yahoo. There is an option to hide your online status from other users. This should stop most people from trying to contact you, then you can just be contacted by the normal preverts from this website.

Funny how a song can just stick with you. I don't have the body to be leggs anymore, but I am working on it. For one of my kid's school dances, a fundraiser for the tsunami victims, I dressed up like one of the guys, complete with a fake yellow fur guitar. No one knew who I was. They kept asking who the "guy" was. I will have to see if I can find a picture.

It just hit me funny since it had never happened before, and that one troll was getting crude and saying ugly things about Red, and I got ugly back. I don't have any problems with sniping back and forth on the site, but when I initially mistook a creep for a friend, it bugged me.

Matter of fact I could spend HOURS getting new screen names and going "trolling" myself!! NO ONE is messing with my family >:( I'll increase his flamin' vocabulary...
