I've ALWAYS wanted to drive across the country... now I finally get my chance. A good friend is moving from Pittsburgh to San Diego the first week of October and I get to go along to help drive!

Look out westerners, here I come!

My longest drive was NC to Nebraska......made me want to do the cross country run too.

You know, one of my dreams is to drive from New York to LA or the other way around with a bunch of friends. ;)

Ive done it three times and will never do it again, Boston to LA non stop in 58 hours. Two guys in a Toyota pick up, one drives, one sleeps.

No, but on that 58 hour trip I could not afford to ship the truck back and fly....So I had to drive the fucking thing back.....Man, was I pissed the whole way back.....LMMFAO ;;D

Like I said, two guys...one sleeps while one drives...not much sleeping going on in a Toyota PU with 33" tires on it....LOL ;;D

Hey Joe...

That is cool! Marty and I drove across country two years ago - went from San Diego to Maryland... it was great! Then this year we drove from Maryland to Texas... the scenery is amazing!

Just remember to take pictures! And have a great trip!

Thanks all for the great comments. I'm hoping we'll drive thru Tennessee and into Arkansas where I can visit my folks and brother and sisters for a day. We're definitely not driving non-stop, I don't think either of us has the stamina to do that. Then I should be able to spend a couple days in San Diego before I fly home.

And yes, I'll take pics and post some when I get back.

I envy you, Joe. Any driving, either as the driver or a passenger makes my CH pain worse or, if I am not in pain, will set off an attack. Driving to work everyday is a nightmare and I put off doing it until the last possible moment, usually arriving late (but I have an understanding boss, gave him the CH article, so he doesn't dock my pay). Good luck and have a great time and a safe trip! :)
