I WAS SITTING IN THE WAITING ROOM FOR MY FIRST APPOINTMENT WITH A NEW DENTIST.

I NOTICED HER DDS DIPLOMA, WHICH BORE HER FULL NAME. SUDENLY, I REMEMBERED A TALL, CUTE, DARK-HAIRED GIRL WITH THE SAME NAME HAD BEEN IN MY HIGH SCHOOL CLASS SOME 40 ODD YEARS AGO.

COULD SHE BE THE SAME GIRL THAT I HAD A SECRET CRUSH ON, WAY BACK THEN??

UPON SEEING HER, HOWEVER, I QUICKLY DISCARDED ANY SUCH THOUGHT. THIS GRAY-HAIRED WOMAN WITH THE DEEPLY LINED FACE WAS WAY TOO OLD TO HAVE BEEN MY CLASSMATE.
HMMM . . . OR COULD SHE???

AFTER SHE EXAMINED MY TEETH, I ASKED HER IF SHE HAD ATTENDED MADISONVILLE HIGH SCHOOL.

YES, YES I DID. I'M A MUSTANG," SHE SAID WITH PRIDE. "WHEN DID YOU GRADUATE?" I ASKED.
SHE ANSWERED "IN 1967"
"YOU WERE IN MY CLASS!" I EXCLAIMED.
SHE LOOKED AT ME CLOSLY.
. THEN, THAT UGLY, OLD, WRINKLED BIT*H
ASKED, "WHAT DID YOU TEACH.

HOLY CRAP! That sucks big time! I cried my entire birthday last year because I had 2 different people at 2 different times ask me how old I was and when I said 29 they said "How old are you really?"! [smiley=bigcry.gif]

I see alot of people my age or bit older that shock me cuz they could pass as my grandparents !! I often wonder if they know that or is the mirror deseeveing all of us ? You look GOOD by the way.........

I agree with Donna: we are as old as we feel. :)

I'm 25, but it still felt weird when a woman in her late 30s with her kid called me "auntie" the other day. ::) Sure, I'm a god mother to 10-year-old, but I don't look like an "auntie" yet... But if one of these days mum starts to look younger than me, then I begin to worry! ;;D

But then again I should be happy in advance. Mum looks like 47 at 61 and the same goes with my aunts. :)
