With all due respect...if you keep arguing with this person (whoever, he is...) he will continue to come back and post. He's probably actually enjoying the debating.

Just ignore him, don't reply to his rants... and he will go on his merry way.

This is his stage...if no one buys a ticket, the show will be cancelled.

Jimmy I see your point but I think thats the one place we don't leave him be.
The cluster headache specific, the meds, and newbies boards are the places that need most of all to be troll free. When you come here in the first you need to have good advice on treatments and meds that work not the crap he spouts.

I agree with you Helen. Effective treatments, especially abortive ones during the midst of a bad cycle is what they need to read, not the notion of suffering 3 years before relief begins...sheesh....

As if the depression of the pain itself isn't enough. :-[

Maybe the best thing to do would just be to ignore HIM in his posts like that, but make a message totally dismantling his theories and therefore allowing newbies to know that he's just a troll. Of course, it would need to be worded so that newbies clearly understood, but Idon't think it's that difficult. :)

I honestly think it would be best to just simply ignore him....still comment on the post so newbies don't get confused...but don't say anything "to"him.

Does that make sense?

Maybe we should ignore him completely. We can alert DJ to possibly misleading posts and he can just remove them. The more attention we pay to him...the more he gets his "cookies", you know.

2 cents warning -

If there was a special rank assigned to trolls, that said TROLL, instead of Newbie, Old Timer, or Veteren, or whatever, people would be alerted to the fact that the guy is a troll. If it said "Ignore me I am a Troll," then we wouldn't have to respond to him, and people would *hopefully* know to ignore him.

But this is a decision for the admin.

How about......sum sort of well written warning to newbies or anyone that maybe hasn't checkin in for a while put in all the topics and STiCKY it up top and keep it there.......somethn well worded to explain that there are people on here that are saying bazaar stuff or giveing bad advice or wanting to argue and then attack. Title it so people will read it........then they can ignore the guy (guys) and be aware of what is going on and not fall into there TRAP. Poster beware Pam

Trolls post to get a reaction. The best thing to do is report the person to the mod and then ignore the posting completely. The troll comes back as a different user so you repeat the process. They will get bored and find another board to harass.

The only response needed is "Do not feed the troll". If you see that, ignore the posting.

Yeah I think the WARNING to all readers here at the top STUCK so it stays there is a real good idea.......jus so they maybe realize it if they read some weirdo stuff and not take it seriously or let it reflect on the web site 'as a whole'.......ya know ? Plus when a person first gets on an MB sometimes they think there problem is unique and tend to get sucked up into the hype of finding this place and if someone slams them they are really hurt by it......after a while ya get used to it......ha-ha......but it's always good to start out KNOWING what could or mite be lurking. And not to believe all that you read and take a bad road in case a troll is at the wheel. And learn as ya go.......like I did. Wonder how many midgets that guy has tied in his basement he tortues daily Pam 8)

That's exactly what I have been thinkin jonny........that way ya can read 'in cognito' and post in 'ass-hole'......esp since ya can see WHO in logged on.
