Don, is that your blow up doll in the background?

I love Beagles, owned 2 of them and lost both to Vehicular Homicide,

Forget Tucker, take the dog instead!

Yeah.... The girl is pretty cute!! But what's that dead-lookin' thing lying on the floor behind her? Scary... *shudder*

Macropus rufus. Good eating when they're little.

Gets a mention on Oz's national emblem opposite the emu, which isn't good eating anytime.

Macropus what?  [smiley=huh.gif] Thinking maybe it was a "slow learner" or something...  [smiley=laugh.gif]

The red kangaroo.  Not to be confused with the little toy jobs you see in the zoo.  This bloke sitting can be as tall as me and weigh half as much again.  They can fight, too.

Needless to say, they're bigger in Texas.

Cool! I don't know if I'd want to ever try boxing with a kangaroo, though...  [smiley=laugh.gif]

Funniest sight you'll ever see, too, unless you happen to be on the receiving end.

Too many people have watched too many cartoons and reckon these things are always just so cute and cuddly.  They can be, too. but there's another side to the story.

Fortunately, Greenpeace is now off saving the whale.

We're probably the only country to eat both the animals off it's national shield. (I can just see you getting around a feed of bald eagle).

I can promise you that tourists to our country eat more roo in a day than we'd consume in a decade of decades.

Nevertheless, a young one cooked briefly is bloody good tucker, and lean to the point of being fat-free.

(Edited: Sorry about the upper chest, Melissa. Post photos and trust us with the diagnosis.)

Like ostrich here.  A red meat that's very low in fat and collestrol and amazingly tender!  But then again, the ostrich has no significant national value.

So what's the dogs name.......? Cute dog..........leave Santa at home cuz I hear he's a real ho ho. Bingo was his name'o Pam

Aren't roo's like big rats on Australia....just bigger......don't they get into stuff like gardens and all and become pests and a pain. Kinda like raccoons do here.

Urban myth, me darlin'. The truth's much more intersting.

For myself, I'd much rather get back to the original picture.  There's the four-leggedly thing in the front, the blurry sort-of-boring thing behind, and then there's the interesting bit with lumps.

Let's talk lumps.

Tucker requires 4 things in life:

1. A cozy place to sleep

2. A cozy place to eat

3. A good ass scratching

4. Jonnys Hosta patch to take a dump.

My kinda dog!

He's beautiful, don.  Looks a LOT like my Polly laying there asleep stretched out.  A 13", no doubt?  He's got the lean face of one.

Did you get him at a rescue?  How old is he?

Congrats.......it's about time.

Don he looks lovely! He'd  make two of Ronny but its nice to know I have a surrogate Beagle to cuddle in Boston!
Seriously though, leaving your blow up Kangaroo around while photographing Tucker was in bad taste for this group.. unless its your not-so-subtle way of coming out to us?!

Makes a good still life on the window sill.  He'll fit right in with your Saturday lifestyle Don.

First trick:  fetch pistachio bag

First discipline:  get out of my la-z-boy!

First walk:   three hours of sniffing every blade of grass and tree that any other dog has pooped or pee'd on in the last five years.

First slow tail wagging:  *don should be smellin' that one riiiight about now.*

First buried item:  Don brings home Yankee bobblehead as play toy.

First smile:  *So this guy's takin' me home?*

Aw, Don, I'm SO freakin happy for you!!  Carol and I are sitting here smiling and welcoming Tucker into the Family.

Millie is so proud of you, Dad.  Barly sends sniffs, wags but no cookies.  He doesn't know Tucker all that well yet, but he and Millie are talking it over and he's going to take her advice that he's a great guy to take care of you.  Barly will send cookies soon.

And, hey, Don.  Thanks for that pin in the ass at the airport.  THAT was special.  :P

seriously.  dude.  WAY TO GO!!!  :-*

According to the Ma. State Police that is correct

She could recover any lost pizza anywhere? But you wouldn't get it back.

An old and slightly dotty couple might be called "George and Mildred" behind their backs, but I don't know where it comes from.

My aunt's Bassett used to fall down the stairs because his ears were so long that he would step on them. I wonder what he would have done if he knew what a source of entertainment he was?

Love Bassetts.
