Title: Clustervilles Cornerstones
Post by DonnaHar on Aug 3rd, 2005, 9:04pm
How would you explain some of the valued friends that we have to the newbies?  Some that we see only ocassionally and are not recognized?

In the thread asking if we should "remove a certain troublemaker from our mb", den came along with a post that only we that know and love him would understand.

Of course, it was thought strange by a few, as it would, and he had to be explained (sort of).

I think it would be fun to bring some of these people into the spotlight and give our fond definitions for the sake of those who haven't had the pleasure of meeting them.

So, who do YOU want to start with?

You want famous or infamous?

And speaking of den, I do know that one of his favorite (infamous) people here was Nick D.
Nick D said he had 'soft tissue cluster headaches', took Botox injections, and his allergy to cow manure triggered his clusters. But, he couldn't stop himself from running naked through the barnyard. He also wanted our permission to use cocaine.

Now for famous, one of my favorites, we all know and love DannyBoy from South Africa. He's brought a lot of joy and happiness and laughs whenever he stops in to say hello.

P.S. running through the barnyard was true but the naked part wasn't true. I made that up.  ;)

Like Art Linkletter once said, "Bob's say the darndest things".

Anyway, I thought maybe Danny was Hilda-O in disguise and we only had one of those on the loose.  den better watch his feet or he might just step on something out there in the barnyard that isnt' of cows.

I think I'll start a new thread on explaining some of our bright stars who only post ocassionally, but need to be known because of their value to Clusterville.

hmmm.  T he first person I met here, besides DJ back in 98 or early 99 was Drummer.

anyone want to comment on him?   Then it was Margi...

She was/is/has been/ will always be/   a supporter.  Her husband Mike suffers from CH.   Once I met them...in Vancouver and I was hooked on their ability to relate to me and my HA's as well as hooked on them personally.

SHE is a hoot!!!!!!!!   He, well...he is just a nice man w/ HA's who happens to be married to the greatest lady in the world.  I know Mike well enough to know he isn't going to tract me down over this.

Then there was the 1st. ever clusterhead I ever met in Atlanta.   I was new to the internet/computer   but I got on a plane and flew there.

Elaine was the first  person I ever met and man...........she's  had me rolling in laughter ever since.   I cannot even call her on the phone nor can I remember the New York convention without clutching at my sides.

We shared a room in Vancouver and I think I must have gotten some sleep....but don't know when.  Most of the time we were outside smoking.  The rest of the time we were cracking up so hard.

Elaine and Margi's posts are something you'll want to watch for... newbies.

Hey Linda, come to think of it, schools almost in session and hopefully, our two favorite teachers will be back here conducting classes.  We must work on them, eh?

What are their names again?  Mrs. Holloman and Miss Twit?  I can't remember, but class, it's really Elaine and Margi and the funniest season we ever had here in Clusterschool.

Drummer was my first (painful) contact here.  He read me the riot act for not posting my real name and an e-mail address.  There weren't many people here yet and every one was on a first name basis.  I felt so bad that I didn't post again for about a month.  But, eventually we got to be friends and had a lot of fun.  He's one of the intellegent ones who could write like a professor with a sense of humor.  If you look him up in the archieves you'll be in awe and in stitches....in cycles.  In his search for the true meaning of life, he just disappeared into the sunset, never to be heard from again.  Geeze I miss him, but I'm mad at him too for leaving us like he did.

OK, who was LawnGuy?  I don't remember him.

We need discussion on Jack Kack and hub.....hey Bob P, where are you?

Also Riccardo the Kissing Bandit.

There's a lot to entertain us with here.  These guys were brilliant and funny.

Let's also get down to the origin of the midget cuban cigar smoking circus people that Carl keeps referring to.

Who's gonna start?  This is history and must not die.

Maybe we ought to invent our own veteran's day on here. A day to remember those who mattered to us when we first joined up and why.
I think it would be good reading for all of us, old, new and yet to come. Continuity, thats what it's all about!

you're absolutely correct.  This must not die.

I.....however do not have the patience to scan/search/backlog every post to find what you're seeking.

But I can do this:

Kip scale...June 10th., 1999

what a beautiful dream...by Drummer.  April, 3, 1999

Ms. Holloman/Mrs. Twitch   classsroom.  Feb. 24th. 2000

JD's pic which will forever live in infamy.  (9-08-00)

Enjoy newbies.   ;;D   Linda

But Jas, you did remember Rumplestiltskin and who is he but the mirror image of den?  While Rump lets down his lady loves long hair, den sits and watches the river go by.

Confusious says:
