Sherbet that is a lot.  I don't think I can ever spend that much money on meds besides what else would I need it for? :o

I'd retire while I'm young enough to enjoy retirement with my wife and my daughter.

I'd spoil my entire family with obnoxiousely (sp?) expensive gifts.

I'd buy a life time supply of trex and O2 for anyone on this message board interested in getting it.

I'd have at least 3 vintage guitars in every room of each of my enormous houses.

I'd buy me an Island and create my own country and name it 'IfYouDontLikeMyLawsGetTheHellOutOfMyCountry' or 'WorkOrYouStarveLand'.

I'd build a NASCAR track in the back yard of one of my new mansions.

I'd buy NeverLand Ranch and turn it into a free counseling center for children who have been sexually abused.

I'll think of more things later because I still have a lot of cash left.

Oh what a lucky person.
The first thing I would do would be go buy two things I want.
They would be all mine ok I would share with Buddy.
I want one of those reclining sofas you know with the drink holder and all in the center. I always wanted one of those. Then I would buy me a mattress the softess mattress I could find for my King size bed.
Then the rest of the Money I would pay the bills off.
I would buy my older brother a new home.
I would pay off all my kids homes and I would move my Mom closer to my brothers house.
All my friends would get money instead of the usuall Christmas card. I have a few good friends I would spoil bad LOL
Oh to dream is fun isn't it :-)

I’d help den settle on a name. First it’s den then it’s rumplsunthing then it’s den again.
I’d buy Bob P his own political party. Booblicans.
I’d get a new couch for LadyE, with two beer holders, Jonny and Don.
I’d get Frank a hummer.
I’d buy the entire NHL and close it. No, wait, they already did that themselves.
I’d get Charlie all the smiley faces in the world.
I’d get Linda H a brand new Chevrolet Corvette. And a sledge hammer.
I’d buy up every cell phone in the world. And put them in Linda’s Corvette.
I’d get Marc another place to live so he doesn’t have that damn sunset glaring in his living room every day.
I’d buy a clusterhead and move him/her to Shreveport for Barbara D.
I’d get Jimi some household help that would be happy to get him a beer because she knows it’s her duty.
I’d get Bob Johnson some research material. I don’t think he’s done near enough for us for the last 6 years.
I’d get Alien Space Babe a vacation. She doesn’t seem to get out very often.
I’d get Carl some CD’s, tapes and phonograph records. 85,321 just doesn’t seem like enough.
I buy the biggest fishin' hole in Texas to help keep  Renea and Jean stay off the street corners.
I'd get Melissa her very own winning lottery ticket.

Have to stop for now. Will add more later. Right now I’m getting off work and

Just think, people spend $0.50 almost every day (or more) to read a newspaper and get information about things that can not be changed and then bitch about what happened yesterday. A lottery ticket gives you the opportunity to dream a little about what you'd do if money were no object. A little more time dreaming and hoping far outweighs the time spent not dreaming and hoping.

who do you think "they" are? poor trailer trash that shouldn't be spending money on those dirty lottery tickets. that's the kind of patriarchal/matriarchal views that always make the lottery arguments so fun.
Don't discount how much value money can have in this life. if you're a sourpuss naturally, it probably won't do you a bit of good. But if you're a bright person and a generally positive person, money can be great.
don't believe the stories they like to tell of the guy who win's the lottery and ends up pissing it away and all his relatives shoot each other over the money. That kind of tragedy only gets publicity in the tabloids because it is what those that don't have money want to believe happens to the guy who wins it all. There are far more people who win and go on to have a wonderful life, free of many of the financial worries that most of us live with everyday. They do great things with the money and are even happier than they were.
Just like with guns, it's not the gun that kills, it's the person with the gun. Money can be good -- money can be bad - but don't buy into the tragic anti-fairy tale that money is the root of all evil.
