yup and red potatoes, peas, tomatoes, kolorabi, pickles, pumpkins, zucchini & broccoli.  We like to switch it around each year because we freeze a lot of it.  The tomatoes I use to make juice, spaghetti sauce and salsa.  :)

Holy crap that's expensive.  Of course, I was just reading about how someone purchased a trailer home in CA on the beach for 1 million... :-/

Ree, what size is your pool?  We are looking for one just like it that can go partially into the ground and is oval, like yours.  It'll be put off the very back of our house with an elevated wooden walk way.

Get your story straight - the park ranger shot the bad guy, but only after the bad guy killed two other people.  

Most of us can't afford to live in YOUR neighborhood so we have to take the good with the bad.  ;;D

your park rangers are ARMED??  Holy!!  Our park rangers (we call them the Fin and Feather Dudes), well they just have a clipboard and a whistle.  Man, I'm glad I live in Canada!!

Gonna take me a week to get all these pics to load but it will be WORTH IT......dam slow dialup !!! I still haven't got the hang of postin pics either but am loveing yours !!! I have a complete and "total PASSION" for Africa !!!! I'd "sqeal and scream" with excitement and pee my pants if I seen a live 'in the wild' lion, tiger or wildcat........they are totaly awesome ! Course the scream mite be rite before they caught me Pam

Just trying to discourage people from moving in on our little piece of paradise.

Yep Margie - our park rangers and our fish and game officers are official police officers.  Heck, even the campus cops at the university carry guns.  And, the whole shootout at the beach campground was an arguement over a camping space.

I live so far north that I need a passport to go swimming.  The Dauan shots were taken within 10 paces of my front door, while the church is way over the other side of town - nearly a minute's walk from here.

Since Thomas already posted some great pics of Madtown, here is LITERALLY my back yard...lots of creeping charlie, and dandylions along with the bluegrass--I don't use herbicides.

And, hey - Marc and BobP, I grew up on the Central Coast.  My mom went to CalPoly SLO and we lived there for about 10 years.  If I ever get to move back to California, the Central Coast is where I will go.  I love Morro Bay.  There was a restaurant my dad would take us to every time he visited, I think it was called "The Fishbowl."  Is that still there?
