I have had CH for the past 14 years.
I live in a third world country so if I visit a third world doctor I will contract a third world disease and get prescribed third world meds that will cause third world predispositions.

So I make an appointment and cross the borders to see my first world doctor in his first class consulting rooms with his first class knowledge. Just to tell him I need a repeat prescription for my first world meds.

He tells me I must break the "habit" and try over the counter painkillers! So after my distinctly third world departure from his first world office I found this after arrival back to my third world ountry on my first worl pc.

This applies to most bloody first world bloody doctors!

The Code of Ethical Behaviour for Patients
1. Do not expect your doctor to share your discomfort.

Involvement with the patient's suffering might cause him to lose valuable scientific objectivity.

2. Be cheerful at all times.

Your doctor leads a busy and trying life and requires all the gentleness and reassurance he can get.

3. Try to suffer from the disease for which you are being treated.

Remember that your doctor has a professional reputation to uphold.

4. Do not complain if the treatment fails to bring relief.

You must believe that your doctor has achieved a deep insight into the true nature of your illness, which transcends any mere permanent disability you may have experienced.

5. Never ask your doctor to explain what he is doing or why he is doing it.

It is presumptuous to assume that such profound matters could be explained in terms that you would understand.

6. Submit to novel experimental treatment readily.

Though the surgery may not benefit you directly, the resulting research paper will surely be of widespread interest.

7. Pay your medical bills promptly and willingly.

You should consider it a privilege to contribute, however modestly, to the well-being of physicians and other humanitarians.

8. Do not suffer from ailments that you cannot afford.

It is sheer arrogance to contract illnesses that are beyond your means.

9. Never reveal any of the shortcomings that have come to light in the course of treatment by your doctor.

The patient-doctor relationship is a privileged one, and you have a sacred duty to protect him from exposure.

10. Never die while in your doctor's presence or under his direct care.

This will only cause him needless inconvenience and embarrassment.

Has he really left you without meds??

Yip, the bloody bugger. But one lucky thing about living in a third world country is that you can find almost anything on the black market, it just takes some time.

So the next step is to don myself into some or other cloak and dagger outfit and hit the streets.

In the meantime I'll resort to the herbs in my garden!

Ditto. There are 3 good ones out there. Each worth a try, IMHO. Prescription meds never did much for me, but so far, 2 out of 3 alternatives have been very effective. PF wishes, nani

Sorry to hear about to Dr thing, been there before.

My problem now is that I found Dr that will give me script for about anything I want to try, now I am fighting my Insurance Company...

Now the Ins Comp, is telling me that the Dr has to get Pre-Authorization, before any of them give me a script. I think thats total S**T...

Example my new Nero Dr, gave me the Script for the TREX Inj, the Insurance Company, told the Dr that I should try Relpax (CRAP) 1st.... 6 pills for $35.00.. Insane...takes 30min to 2hrs to work, my HA's are only from 45 to 90 minutes.. the HA's gone then the pill kicks in.. Yeah.. thats a good medicine.

But Anyways thats another thread... I feel for you and I think we all know where you are coming from, all these First world Dr's don't know much more than the Third world Dr's, with a few Exceptions...

I wish you LUCK just be safe with anyone you deal with.
