Title: All at loose ends... Post by Frank_W on Jul 24th, 2005, 4:58pm Mari and Julia left for Japan last Tuesday, and won't be home until the 1st of August. I've cleaned the house twice, done all of the laundry, washed, dried, and put away all of the dishes, there isn't anything on TV, and I'm tired of practicing piano, and now... Jeez... Pathetic, but I can't wait to go back to work tomorrow. Jeez.... [smiley=ohjez.gif] |

I always have a few projects that I just never have the time to do, hope you find one of your own. Opus/Paul |

Of course, I have my girlfiends, but I can talk to my fish all day if I need to. Just kidding, of course. Their absence will make the homecoming all the sweeter. You'll love them even more, if that's even remotely possible. Kris |

I saw that too, it was great but then it repeated itself after a commercial break. Weird, it was like someone hit the rewind button. I can't believe that clock was still in place on the fireplace mantel in one of the rooms, was that the "Strauss room". It was very spooky. |

Title: Re: All at loose ends... Post by Frank_W on Jul 25th, 2005, 7:53pm Yeah... And the tile in the Turkish baths... So remarkably preserved. That was completely amazing. One of these days, I'm going to go to the St. Lawrence river in Canada and scuba dive it. Apparently, it's LOADED with wrecks, and some of them are massive ships, and others dating back to the Civil War. The clock was pretty eerie, and the captain's bath was still perfectly preserved... The fact that both ships had terrible accidents is weird; uncanny, almost. It was a really good documentary. Too bad that all of the expeditions to the Titanic made by the French and by others can't all be put together in a single montage. Wouldn't that be great? |
||
Title: Re: All at loose ends... Post by Topical on Jul 25th, 2005, 8:20pm Yup, hours of footage. I wonder how much of the ship they have gone into. It makes me want to raise it all up and see what it looks like. There was another doc that showed all the damage done by people who visited the wreck. I think it was a return to the wreck from the person who first found it. Some couple got married on the bow and smashed into it. How romantic...uh no....but they can say they were married on the Titanic. Diving would be fun on a shipwreck as long as the water was clear and there wouldn't be many sharks. That brings up another doc I saw last week which showed the great whites breaching out of the water trying to get seals. It was part of "shark week" on Disc. That was a good one to watch. Man those guys are nasty SOB's. |

Title: Re: All at loose ends... Post by Kevin_M on Jul 25th, 2005, 8:25pm Frank, It's me Frank, your Jeep. I've had it Frank, I'm leaving you. I've stayed barefoot and muddy for you too long. I've seen how you look at all the other Jeeps on the road when we're out. It was supposed to be just us Frank. But then I come to this message board and see how you have been posting pictures of all your other REAL fantasies, Jeeps of the Day, Jeeps at the Auto Shows, even Jeeps made more enhanced by silicon. It's FAKE Frank, it's all cosmetic, but if that's what you really want, I guess I'll just leave. There has been another too. The neighbor who owns the Hummer. You haven't seen how he looks at me when I'm parked in the driveway. He's been giving me lots of attention, the attention I've wanted from you Frank. You're just not a one Jeep guy, I know that, and we've had good times together I'll never forget. My mind seems to be made up now but I'll be in the garage if you want to talk. Maybe we can go on a long drive together and talk things over, back to our favorite rocks and dried riverbeds. I still carry a lot of love mud for you, it's just that, I'm being drawn Frank. Hummer boy says it was over a long time ago with his baby, he can't face another day of the snickering and pointing when he is together with Hummy baby. He needs a real Jeep, like me Frank. Before he makes you an offer, I thought you should hear this from me first. The keys are by the door Frank, I've got half a tank of gas, it's up to you. I know I'm no piano, or dishwasher, or pool table, or even a good book, but, I just can't be all those things to you, I'm just me and there's still a lot of tread on these tires. Waiting... |
