I saw that nasty little storm on radar a couple of hours ago......life of it's own.

Call the kids in and board up the windows, nature's fireworks are about to begin..........

No fun. it is black outside again like yesterday morning when we got a bad one. I live in the lower red loop in Madison.  I hope Thomas and Gena's wedding was a planned inside one.  When my neapheu got married a couple of years ago.  They had a outside wedding planned and there were tornadoes bouncing around.  We had to cram lots of people into the building.  However it all worked out in the end. :)

Here's what Redd was talkin about, only this hit by my house about 50 minutes ago (I live 30 min. NE of her).  We've been seeing some spectacular squaw lines lately.

Now it's just glorious rain with some thunder & lightning.... :D

It's on its way here soon :-/--but we need the rain very badly, so I can't complain too much unless it zaps my computer.

It might be the same storm that came through Tennessee, yesterday morning. That thing was hellacious!! High winds, torrential rain, and then lightning strobing all over the sky, all night long...

Well we were without power for 5 hours.  Brunt of the storm lasted about 5 minutes, with flash flooding in my yard.  There are trees down all over the place.  BIG trees!  I took a drive just a bit ago to see how far the power outage went, incase we needed to go out to dinner...by the time I got back home power was back on.

All of us are safe.  Nature's fury has passed.  For now

Wow Redd!  What a difference a few miles can make!  Out here (I'm in the country for those who don't know) there was a little hail and wind, and that was it!  Glad you're OK though!

Mel, remember the huge tree behind the batting cage at the SPASH baseball field?  Right across from the Holiday Inn back parking lot?  It was cut off about a foot above the ground and smashed that 5 foot chain link fence like it was made of toothpicks.

Frank I don't think so.  This one was headed due east from MN.  I tried to capture an image to my puter of the radar before the power went out, but it didn't work.

Wow.. Crazy weather, then. Last night, the sky was amazing... No thunder. Just silent lightning flashing all around, without any pause between flashes. The "light show" went on for at least a couple of hours. I sat on the front porch and watched it until I was too tired to keep my eyes open....

It's long gone now, and Madison lucked out.  More storms tonight though.  And Frank, if we ever a get a storm here that went through your neck of the woods first and then headed west to Wisconsin, we will have bigger problems than a few storms--like maybe the earth's magnetic fields are shifting  :o

LOL! I don't know... I have a friend who lives near Erie, PA, and I swear, the weather he gets 48 hours later, is the same weather we've already had. It's uncanny...

Glad to see everyone is ok.

Remnants of hurricane Emily brushed through here in San Diego last night. That's the first time in 40 years I remember a hurricane coming over here.

The lighning and thunder was going off, I thought at first it was my neighbors making a bunch of noise at 2AM.  :) It's very unique to have any storms here in the summer.
