Title: 5 Questions Post by Jimi on Jul 23rd, 2005, 12:26pm This is a Saturday Morning Test. For your information, I got none of them right. I am an idiot. The answers will be in the next post down. QUESTIONS: 1. A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms. The first is full of raging fires, the second is full of assassins with loaded guns and the third is full of lions that have not eaten in 3 years. Which room is safest for him? > 2. A woman shoots her husband. Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes. Finally she hangs him. But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together. How can this be? > 3. What is black when you buy it, red when you use it, and gray when you throw it away? 4. Can you name three consecutive days without using the words Monday, >Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday? > 5. This is an unusual paragraph. I'm curious how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it. It looks so plain you would think nothing was wrong with it. In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is unusual though. Study it, and think about it, but you still may not find anything odd. But if you work at it a bit, you might find out. |

Title: Re: 5 Questions Post by Kevin_M on Jul 23rd, 2005, 7:33pm 1. A murderer is condemned to death. He has to choose between three rooms. The first is full of raging fires, the second is full of assassins with loaded guns and the third is full of lions that have not eaten in 3 years. Which room is safest for him? 1. yeah, the lions were dead 2. A woman shoots her husband. Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes. Finally she hangs him. But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together. How can this be? 2. I was on to something about washing and drying, but... 3. What is black when you buy it, red when you use it, and gray when you throw it away? 3. ............... all I could think of was OJ's glove. 4. Can you name three consecutive days without using the words Monday, >Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday? 4. got it, but wasn't sure about tomorrow, it didn't have the word "day" in it, but it was consecutive. 5. This is an unusual paragraph. I'm curious how quickly you can find out what is so unusual about it. It looks so plain you would think nothing was wrong with it. In fact, nothing is wrong with it! It is unusual though. 5. unusual, looks so plain, unusual, nothing wrong, unusual, nothing wrong. Geeze Jimmy, no wonder curiousity killed the cat, he was waiting for me to figure that one out. Actually, I could have killed all three cats in the first question if they were waiting too and then walked into the room where the woman shoots, drowns, and hangs me as the consolation prize. |
