Title: Can someone tell Google...
Post by Topical on Jul 22nd, 2005, 7:41am
Just because you have CH doesn't mean you have herpes.

This ad keeps coming up at the bottom:
Treating Genital Herpes
Learn about symptom relief with episodic treatment.

I bet my saying the word herpes again and again in this thread will spread even more herpes ads. I think I'll use the condom for google ads and block it.  I fear that it will mutate into another stronger server though.

They cover the whole gammit - depression medication - post traumatic stress - Herpes (multiple variations), Herpes cures - Acid Reflux - Shingles, etc., etc., etc.

They must think everyone on this site is really, really, really sick.   ::)

This site makes money from those ads.

My bet is DJ will put the annual 38 cents to good use.

Some of the ads are based on mention of medication or other topics(to my knowledge of sites that use the same types of google ads) so if Neurontin is mentioned and since it is used to treat shingles which is a form of HERPES there ya go

Seems to me that those that are bitching about the adds were not here back when they were inside EVERY post.

Quit bitching and stop looking at them if you dont like them :-*

Looks like we can't change the ads.  I'll bet it's the original post that initiates the ads.

Think I'll try that.

It is interesting to see how it works. I bet there is a net saavy person around here. Calling all geeks!

I do know that some sites that click on their competitor's ads so that they have to pay more money The idea being they will run out of their advertising budget. I think it's called a 'click farm' or 'click farming', something like that. Google is under some pressure to change how they are charging for the ads.

all the pig ads got attached to the replies.
