A friend found this site for me, and later that day I logged on and left my first post. I have to add; when I first found this site, I went straight to my brothers house and showed the site to my sis in law. As she read posts, she started crying and said "I always thought you were exaggerrating how bad these are. If I didn't know any better, I would have thouht you wrote all of those posts yourself." I found it about a week before the diagnosis was confirmed, but the GP had mentioned it along with other possibilities, so I did a search. Now the real questions: How long, after you found this site, was it until you posted to the guest book? Never posted to guest book. I read alot of it while waiting for the confirmation. How long, after you found this site, was it until you posted to the message board? About a week. Again, I waited to post anything untill the Dx was confirmed. |

Was an active episodic for 28 years, spring and fall for almost exactly 6 weeks each. I was really looking for any new information for my son who also suffers from cluster headaches. He was not diagnosed nor properly treated until I found this site about 6 years ago. He was diagnosed with migraine in the 6th grade, treated with Periactin, and later Inderal. I believe they turned into full fledged CH when he was 17 by seeing the dramatic increase in his suffering and the tell-tale signs. He is now 33 yrs old. I was never officially diagnosed as a clusterhead. but was diagnosed as having Hortons Cephalgia (back then). I never did post in the guest book. I posted to the message board a couple days after finding this site. |
