Smiling is a good sign!  Did he give you any indication of why he was smiling??  Although I can take a wild guess... ;)

Well, hopefully Dave will be here soon to tell the whole story. All I know is that I didn't get to hang with him enough and he was walking around with a silly grin. BTW...I totally love this guy...he's awesome. And not at all what I expected.

He is awesome isn't he, a good catch for a nice single girl!
I don't know how much info I should divulge because I don't want to break a confidence...but I'm sure he'll show up on here once he sees the post and give us all a report!

Just kidding...I really miss you all already!  I have to go give my husband a little TLC...(men are such babies when they're sick!)  I'll check in with you guys tomorrow!

Even back home you guys are STILL cracking me up! It's probably a good thing that God needles me as he does by keeping you all so far away cawz otherwise I'd swoop every last one of you up!

I had expected to find several gems in the group having never met anyone prior by getting a feel for personalities on this site---but never did I expect to be so profoundly delighted and surprised by the degree of fabulousness (real words ain't cutting it, having to make up a few here) inherent in every single person I met. Bar none. Guess I owe a special thanks to Peggy for mailing the crow bar to seperate my ass from the computer seat and get me to Dallas where I belong.

I read prior convention posts from people who attempted to describe the feeling of wonderment and admittedly read w/just a dash of skepticism. No more. Everything they had written and couldn't properly convey can now be read here as I too cannot make proper tribute.

Now, to the meat of post.

Some of you know my tales of dating woe in the past 12 months but for those bored enough to read,  here goes:
Figure I went out on +/- 25 dates with different gals over the past year and never, not once, actually had a second date. In the immortal words of Ladybug "you are unbelievably picky." Maybe so. Either way, the good Lord has seen fit to needle me by presenting a wonderful lady that he made G.U. (geographically undesirable) First time in what seems like forever I ask and receive a follow-up date but alas, she lives in Texas. Grr.....

That I was caught with the 'silly grin' is only because you damn women know everything! Concealment is futile!

Wish I had the words to express just how priviledged I feel to have met you all......

david,
who doesn't kiss and tell :)

Just giving you a hard time. Terrific about your date and it was great meeting you too. You know, you get this.....
Ah shit. It was just a effen damn good time.

See ya around.

I'm happy to hear you had such a great time...I hope a second date is on the horizon!

But to get back to my original question...did you wear the shirt in or out??? ;)

I think I have a solution for you Dave.  Call her up and do your Billy Crystal imitation that you did for me.  I'm certain she'll be on the next plane to you.

Dave, it was really nice to meet you face to face, pal! :) If you're ever in Tennessee, let's hook up and drink some beer, anger the neighbors, terrify some small mammals, and uh... I don't know... go to Walmart and browse through their selection of cleaning supplies, I guess.  [smiley=laugh.gif]
