Title: Re: what are you reading now?... Post by marlinsfan on Jul 14th, 2005, 10:28am Zoetrope - it is a collection of short stories published by Francis Ford Coppola's magazine of the same name. Once in a while, they publish all the short stories in a book. Pretty good. The other one I'm reading now is The Queen of the South, by a colombian writer named Arturo Perez Reverte. It is a bout the girlfriend of a mexican drug runner, who is on the run after the boyfriend's drug plane is shot down on a flight from Mexico to the US. |

Title: Re: what are you reading now?... Post by sandie99 on Jul 14th, 2005, 11:00am For me, the time had to be right before I picked up Norman Vincent Peale's novel for the first time. I actually borrowed "The Power of Positive Thinking" for the first time years before I read it. I was too cynical back then. But back in summer 2001 time was right and I understood what a great book it is. To all who have read that and liked it and those who like Wayne W. Dyer's books, pick up also books by Louise L. Hay (e.g. You Can Heal Your Life) and Joseph Murphy (e.g. The Power of Your Subconcious Mind). I love my copies so much that I read them at least once a year! :) |
