I don't know if this one has been posted yet but I laughed so hard I almost pissed.

These people might actually have a chance.

Hilarious.

It's also a political device by Logan Darrow Clements, a land developer, who ran as sort of a Republican "Objectivist" candidate for Governor of California in the recall election.  He says his hero of course, is Ayn Rand and his bible is "Atlas Shrugged" that he thinks should be included along with the bible in his proposed hotel.

He runs the ultra ultra right wing Freestar Media, and is loved by similar pundits such as inhabit the World Media Network. Although he has a Libertarian appeal, they don't much back him, probably because Ayn Rand hated Libertarians. He's a fire-breather on the right.

Just a little perspective but it's a cute story and the players in it actually exist. Judge Souter seems a convenient target and perhaps deservedly so.

If I had money coming out my ears, I'd be writing him a check right now to help back the project.

I hope the judge has to give his home over it. It would serve him right.

How about we all pitch in a few bucks, get a Starbucks franchise and then claim eminent domain at the corner of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave and Executive Ave in DC? It would all be for the public good.

P.S. Souter deserves to lose his home.

Probably but it's not so much ED rather than the Jesus Jolly types that want Souter pulverized and shot into space. Now there's what I call Judicial activism.

I hope someone razes this dump for a Starbucks. I could use the money. We are the only city in the country without one. The only place that serves Starbucks here is the hospital cafeteria. Weird.

Probably they use it to keep the Emergency room full.
Have you ever tasted S'Buck's coffee. Nasty, burnt skunk piss! [smiley=hurl.gif]
But, I'm all for the capitalist way. I'd sell it other people.

Ya know Bobby G...I used to love ya.  Til you said this, I have agreed with almost everything you've said.   :)

Starbucks was not invented in  Las Vegas.  Therefore I smell some sour grapes.   ;)

Only good thing besides apples,  to ever come out of Washington.  STARBUCKS.    ;;D
