Title: Some news on Renee Post by BarbaraD on Jul 6th, 2005, 4:22pm Had some PMs about Renee She's on neurotin right now and not tolerating it well. She's a little "goofy", so if she posts something that doesn't make sense, just answer some giberish back - she'll understand.... Seriously, she's still having a lot of pain and the docs can't seem to get it under control. Prayers are really needed at this time. She may not be online much right now. "Mom" is keeping an eye on her now that she's back in the land of the real people. Will keep ya'll updated. Hugs BD |

Title: Re: Some news on Renee Post by rumplestiltskin on Jul 6th, 2005, 4:55pm then tell her i said "featherstone waltzes up a goodly smile come a light breeze on her and all the leaves were calling me it'll be ok." her attempted assasination by the righteous here still ranks up there with the goofyest shit I've ever seen them self-righteous clusterheads do. It's probably just me...butt it seems like OUCH has been tryin to cover up the rope burns on it's own neck ever since. anyway...tell her the infamous residents of the texas cluster house are ...uh...well....uh...have breast milk in ice cube trays in the freezer so there walk inna sunshine den |

Title: Re: Some news on Renee Post by DonnaHar on Jul 6th, 2005, 5:03pm When I was having the last bad back flare up, they put me on neurontin and, I'll tell you, I am not a moody person but I quit that crap the day I was so depressed that I didn't know what to do with myself. I switched docs and the new guy said " why are you putting pills in your mouth on a regular basis for a long term that have to be filtered throug your organs? NO GOOD! Try the Fentanyl Patch. Best thing that ever happened to me. I was on them for about three weeks when the flare up ended with no side effects or withdrawal problems, but I am not an addictive person when it comes to drugs. I'm scared to death of them. Fentanyl (generic name for Duragesic) patches are the best for long term, moderate to severe chronic pain.(Not CH) Have Renee check it out. One patch lasts for three days and, depending on strength and whether or not generic, a months supply costs about $175.00. |

Title: Re: Some news on Renee Post by cootie on Jul 6th, 2005, 10:11pm I was on neurotin for my back also and I HAD to stop that shit.....made me goofy too but it got to where I could hardly even walk on that crap.......embarrassed the shit outa myself one nite cuz it got to me so bad people thought I was drunk as hell......NOT even close !!! I could hardly even stand without 'weaveing' and that was that......no more !!!! Man them patches cost me 500 bucks for 10 !!!!!! WTF ??? Course ins. paid on em so they didn't cost me nearly that but had to wait till my ins deductable kicked in.......without ins there's no way I could of afforded that !!! I stashed em and never tried em.....was kind of afraid to after what simple ole neurotin did to me. I rotate other meds rite now and take some days off. 365 days a year flareup Pam :P |

Title: Re: Some news on Renee Post by Renee on Jul 6th, 2005, 10:57pm Thanks Barb, however you were not quite given all the story from the hacienda. I am on 100 mcg Duragesic and changing every 48 hours instead of 72 as the 72 hours was no longer cutting it. I am also on 600 mg Neurontin and ramping up to 1800 mg. I am also on 100 mg Zonegran 1 mg Klonazepam 40 mg Celexa 4 mg Zanaflex taken 3 times per day My biggest issue is not the Neurontin but the mixture of all and still suffering from Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome aka CPS, chronic pain syndrome. As well, I have a disc, c67, that has calcified. I have to fully recover from cervical surgery, in March '05, and get off of the high amount of pain meds before going in for one of those new trials on the artificial cervical disc replacement. Den, I believe the attempted assassination was not only one the goofiest acts performed by the self-righteous but also one of the most damaging. OUCH is still dealing with the ramifications of that lynching. Rope burns can only hide for so long and many have already seen the light of day. Thanks for your support back then and today, Den. If I make convention, it will only be for an hour or two at the most, I would think. I was supposed to be fly fishing the Carson and Truckee Rivers this week.... :'( Be well my friends and...if I do log on in the earlier hours of the day, prior to 7 pm, please excuse my blundering mess of spelling, typing, etc. Renee |

Title: Re: Some news on Renee Post by Jimmy_B on Jul 7th, 2005, 6:10am Renee, I wish they're was something I could do to ease the pain that your in right now. Complex Regional Pain Syndrome is a very painful and dehabilitating disease. Most of the nerves go wacko and are firing pain signals for no reason. Kind of like you got sciatica of the entire body. I hope they find something for you soon. I sent you a P.M. on a med that may help. If you haven't tried it...ask your doc. Jimmy |
