But being locked down at her Cantitoe Farm in Bedford, N.Y., she says in the Vanity Fair interview, provides her with less freedom than prison did. There, she says, she had 100 acres to cruise from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. "Here, I can't. And 48 hours is very confining."

Oh that poor poor millionaire.

She used to be just a millionaire. Then she went public with the sale of stock in herself and over night was worth a cool $billion.

  (day after July 4th)

Be an American Martha, throw down and declare your right to freedom, demand to be put back in prison.

If she decorated her ankle bracelet with designer colors and patterns, a couple of candles, and maybe a nice floral arrangement, she might be happier.  ;;D

I've still got some vacation time left and I'd be happy to be confined at her little farm for a few days.

What at whiny little crook she is.

Maybe she needs a spanking on her saucy, bare, upturned, perky little buns.  :o [smiley=laugh.gif] :-X

I've never really had 'those' kind of thoughts about her before and now I find myself fantasizing about Martha Stewart.  ;;D

Thanks a lot Frank. Now I owe you one for that mental picture.

Once I got those thoughts out of my head, I realized that Martha isn't the one for me anyway. I'm sure that my wife can outdo Martha Stewart in a lot of areas......... And, she doesn't have a felony record.  ;;D

All seriousness aside, they should have never jailed her. It cost us millions to do so. I would have been just as happy if they fined her ash off. She'll get a book out of this.

If you or I did what she did, we would have gotten years in jail...  She stole money from people who worked hard to earn it.   She attempted to cover up her crime and tried to intimidate those around her to keep her ass out of jail.  If you and I don't believe we can have as fair a chance of making money in the stock market as the rich guys, we won't invest our hard earned money and the whole economy takes a hit.  She never admitted any guilt or showed any remorse.  She was on the board of directors of the NYSE.   It's like a corrupt chief of police taking money out of the evidence room.

She deserves to still be there CHarlie.
She got off easy.,

O.K. I admit it.

I have watched her show on T.V. ....a Lot of times.

It's almost addicting.  But have any of you seen  what her little bitty farm that she's complaining about,  looks like?

Holy green acres, Batman!!!   Yeah Sandi...amazes the hell out of me what some people call problems.

That's it!   I'm taking all my millions,  out of her stock, and putting them into Trump  or Microsoft.

Linda Paul Getty

Ken Lay, Jeff Skilling, Bernhard Ebbers, Dennis Kozlowski, the entire Rigas family...

They undermine the confidence in our markets and economy... stock prices fall...  companies start laying people off... slippery slope starts....

I watched her show ONE time - and it was only because it was on in the breakroom at work.

We were all noticing how she drank more wine than her quest ("Just a little bit more, please.")
- and wouldn't let her guest get a word in edgewise.

It was funny - how rude she was.   The whole breakroom was like "DAYUMMMMM she's a bitch!"

and yeah - i stilll think she just needs to get laid!

Maybe i am wrong, but i heard that Martha's broker called her told her to sell the imclone stock, so she did.  How is that a crime on her part?  who did she steal money from?

She stole money from legitimate stock market investors.

Here's how it worked.
She got a call from Sam Waksel (her friend and CEO of Imclone)...
A new cancer drug that Imclone was about to put on the market was about to be refused by the FDA.  Their stock price was about to fall.  Sam told Marth to sell her 4,000 shares....  (worth ~$230,000) and she did.

You and I don't have access to that kind of information.
We would have lost our money.
The crime is called insider trading and it's a felony.
She should have had the balls to eat the loss, IMHO.
(She was already worth HUNDREDS of million$.)
greed got the best of her.

Ultimately they got her, not on the insider trading, but on the cover up.  She altered computer information showing the trail.
