Title: Lance Armstrong Post by r_headache on Jul 5th, 2005, 12:08pm Ok, I am shocked that nobody has started a thread on this amazing athlete! It is now end of the fourth stage of the Tour De France and Lance is NUMBER 1 with a 55 second lead over number 2. Can he possibly be stopped??? |

Title: Re: Lance Armstrong Post by Frank_W on Jul 5th, 2005, 12:45pm I think the reason people are a little reluctant to talk about him can be summed up in two words, that people would rather forget ever having heard used together in the same sentence: "Testicular Cancer." *crosses legs and shudders* [smiley=huh.gif] :o :-X |

Title: Re: Lance Armstrong Post by vig on Jul 5th, 2005, 12:45pm I wish him the best. He gives hope to all of us trying to overcome illness. (I also HOPE he's accomplished this legitimately) |

Title: Re: Lance Armstrong Post by r_headache on Jul 5th, 2005, 12:52pm All of the riders are tested for drugs. I too hope that he is just a freak of nature! That being said it is now stage 4 and he just took the number 1 spot! GO LANCE!! |

Title: Re: Lance Armstrong Post by Charlie on Jul 5th, 2005, 3:15pm Finally I can finish my crossword puzzle. His first name is always a question. He rides bikes or something but they only let him do it in France. http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/heehee.gif Charlie |

Title: Re: Lance Armstrong Post by Topical on Jul 10th, 2005, 4:28am He's about one minute ahead now. Go Lance! They are supposedly having live coverage this morning. I am tempted to stay up and watch. The field is tightening up now. I feel sorry for Zabriscke, he fell and lost the yellow then fell again. The poor guy is in last place now over and 1hr 45 minutes behind. The rest of the CSC team is looking very strong at this point. With 3 out of the top 6 riders. I just may have to see how it turns out this morning. |
