:o Luke!!

Shoot that's in Tampa?  I was just in Clearwater/Tampa on June 15.

Not sure if I could handle that coaster, though!  Even just watching the video made me feel like I had my stomach in my throat!

They really know how to push the laws of gravity, eh?  I think I would be too nervous!!  I never even would go on the Magnum and now that's really just a baby compared to these things!

Hugz,
Lizzie :)

That thing rocks!!  [smiley=headbanger.gif]
(for a few minutes, anyway)

And then I would be blowing my breakfast all over the shiny happy spectators.

Here's the Rollercoaster to end all Rolercoaster's...

Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, N.J.

http://themeparks.about.com/library/graphics/KingdaRender1.jpg

Maximum Height-456 feet (World's Highest)

Maximum Speed-128 MPH (World's Fastest)

Length of track-3,118 feet

Ride Duration- 50.6 seconds

A hydraulic launch rockets riders horizontally from 0 to 128 mph in 3.5 seconds, then vertically 90 degrees into a quarter turn. Riders crest the coaster's tower an exhilarating 458 feet from the ground, then plunge vertically into a 270-degree (three-quarter) spiral.

The train swoops down a valley and climbs a 129-foot "camel hump" hill, leaving riders feeling weightless before making a left turn and gliding back into the station.

Actually.... Kangda Ka is currently grounded due to a malfunction!!  From the sounds of the description of the malfunction in the article on one of the theme park review sites, it looks like it won't be running for awhile yet!  I'm just sooooooooo glad that nobody was on it when the malfunction occurred, because that probably would have killed people - and that wouldn't have been good PR so soon after release!

I'm not sure if Kangda Ka might be beyond the point I could physically or mentally handle!  haha  I was able to tolerate the Incredible Hulk's speed of acceleration, but this thing goes almost twice as fast in less time!  My best friend and I went on Incredible Hulk in March 2000 - we were both more or less completely healthy.  While we were still on the ride (for the 2nd time), Cathy says, "Is it bad if I'm seeing black?"  LOL  Uhhhhh.....

Do you guys know the G force on Kangda Ka?  I couldn't find it - but if you watch the video on the SFGA website, it looks like the one guy's face is literally being ironed straight! haha

The more wild they make these rides, do they have to add more and more restrictions to who can't ride them?  I think that Disney ride in Epcot probably shouldn't still be existing with as many people that had problems on it.  If they make the list of people who can't go on it so in depth (like the list for the Epcot ride), then they seriously need to consider if there are even sufficient people who would be deemed totally safe to go on it!

Luke - you know I love the coasters, but...even this seems like they may be getting to the point where it's just going to be too much for anyone who isn't young, strong, and totally healthy!

Lizzie :)
