Title: Bud~A fathers Day tribute~ Post by Ree on Jun 17th, 2005, 7:53am My dad has taken another turn for the worse.... He is in the ICU and on a respirator again..... I started this poem for fathers day and don't think he will see it.... I thought I would share it with you all..... I wish you had a Dad like mine You'd be his princess all the time He'd never find a single flaw Regardless of the things he saw..... I wish you had a Dad like mine You'd feel so wanted all the time Though sweethearts come and they may go You'd be his"sweetheart" that I know... I wish you had a Dad like mine You'd feel such loving all the time And warmth that makes a house a home I know you'd never feel alone... And if you had a Dad like mine... You would be happy all the time To know this "angel" without wings, Feeling all the joy he brings~~~ Its supposed to be in the voice of a little girl and I was going to back it with a picture of us at my First Holy Communion..... Its not a perfect poem or any great work of mine for sure... It needs a little tweeking but I'm getting a little weak in all this.... I'm off to the hospital to sit in the ICU and watch him dream~ I sit and watch him sleep, knowing our days are numbered and that I have to trust and know he is in Gods heart now..... I love you all and again thanks for all the support here.... love to you Ree |

You're so blessed to have a dad like him, Go sit with him when the lights are dim And treasure every memory Sit quitely by and let him see Let him see your love for him Go sit with him when the lights are dim Hold his hand and show your love Remind him of the love above Tell him it's not yet time to go that you need him still, he needs to know So read your lovely poem to him Go sit with him when the lights are dim. Title: Re: Bud~A fathers Day tribute~ Post by Ree on Jun 17th, 2005, 10:01pm Tonight I had to give the orders not to perform any drastic measures on my dad. He is not going to make it guys.... My sons will be coming home.... I need them now. Thanks for all of your support and love, but it will take a miracle for sure for him to make his way out of what has happened.... He is reacting allergically to a medication... something he forgot about... He is allergic to Penicillin like me..... well the med they gave him about a week or so ago was a derivative of Penicillin.... This didnt have to happen.... his kidneys are failing etc. I love you all ree Margi I loved your poem too..... thanks.... |
