I wrote you about the problem I have with one friend.

Now I have great news about another. She's getting married in August 2006 and I'm one of the 4 bridesmaids!!!!! :D

I'm so happy for her and excited for me!!! She's the first of my friends to get married. She has been with her fiance for 5 years, engaged for nearly two. :)

Me and other bridesmaids will begin to plan her batchelorette party soon. Any ideas...?
BTW, stripper is out... her family is too religious for that. Don't want to send the bride-to-be and few others to ER! ;;D

I should try that with the other pal... but this one...no. she lives in such a huge house with other families that people would call me a serial killer after that. ;)

I was a bridesmaid 5 times...yeesh... :P

Too bad about the NO Strippers... :'( LOL

You have lots of time before the party, i'm sure you'll get lots of ideas by then...

Congrats Sandie!!

That sounds like it will be a great deal of fun!! I hope that all of the bridesmaids will have some input on the gowns because as we all know, there can be some pretty horrific bridesmaid gowns out there in both colour, style, and fit!

It was fun for my best friend's wedding because she decided what colour she basically wanted it to be. She allowed us to each voice our opinion on the exact shade of colour, and we all found a great compromise. Then, she picked maybe 3 or 4 different gowns and asked for our input on each of them...what order we would pick them in, etc.

Her sister wanted a strapless bridesmaid gown, but I did not. Cathy knew that it wouldn't be a flattering choice for all involved, so we had a gown with a halter strap up around the neck. It really was a very pretty gown!! If I lost some weight, I could wear it to something else that required a nice dress! It doesn't really look like a bridesmaid gown!

Anyways...I'm off on a tanget as usual - congrats on being a bridesmaid! I'm sure it makes you feel better to realize that you still have friends who truly do value your friendship (besides all of us, of course)! Being a bridesmaid can be a lot of fun, and it sounds like you all are planning for a great time!!

Congrats on the bride's maid thing. Don't worry about the dress. No matter what you choose the bride will dress you like a clown.

It's the law, says so in the Constitution.

And it's the 12th Commandment........"Thou shalt never have a maid lookin' better than the bride's mother"

I know you may have hard time to believe it, but my friend is a modern bride. So that means that her dress (yes, she has already found it) has bright red top and the rest of the dress is white. And all of us, the bridesmaids get to wear whatever we want! ;;D As long as it's not white, of course... ;)

BTW, Carrie, you look great in that dress! That color is actually my friend's fave, so if there's a theme color, that's the one.

Bob, there will be lots of donuts...! Naturally! Since my friend used to be a waitress, I suggested that we should dress her up as one and send to the streets of Helsinki to sell Arnold's donuts (best brand in here) to male customers... But let's see. That's just one idea and it's a long time to August 2006. :)

Don't worry Frank... you'll see the fun. But only if we'll be at one of my pal's house, she already has a webcam... ;) But for some reason it could be that the rest of the girls will use their veto...
