A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word. An earlier discussion had led to an argument and neither of them wanted to concede their position. As they passed a barnyard of mules, jackasses, and pigs, the husband asked sarcastically, "Relatives of yours?"

"Yep," the wife replied, "in-laws."

I also liked the one about a married couple who had a spat and weren't talking. The fella was due to leave on a business trip every early the next morning so he left a note for his wife saying "Wake me at 5am"
Lo and behold he woke up at gone 8am the following morning to a note on HIS pillow saying "Here is your five am wake up call"
