This is getting to be like an annual event for me. It wasn't the Chineese food. Just spent 7 hours in the ER doubled over.

Diverticulitis. Pockets that form on the colon that sometimes become infected and burst. Painful as hell. Morphine didn't touch it.

May be a rupture but there are not 100% sure so they dont want to go in yet.

Good thing you spend so much time at the bath house.  The camera should go in real easy!!!

Got checked for diverticulitis a few years back.  The hose wasn't bad but the teenage girl looking over the doctors shoulder was a little embarrassing.

Sounds like a big pain in the butt.  Hope the docs are able to get a good picture and keep the hurtin' down.

At least now you know you can go back for more fried jellyfish anytime you want.

A CAT scan Dx it but there wasn't enough contrast to determine if it had burst.

Ahhhhhhh recovery = BRAT diet: Banana, Rice, Applesauce, Toast...

To me, I would think rice would create more of a problem, but I dunno...I didn't create the diet!!

Sorry to hear that happened Don!  I hope they figure out exactly what's going on and get you feeling better soon!!

The thought of anything "rupturing" would seem to me to be cause for a little more urgency than they appear to be showing.

Hope they get this figured out and fixed soon.

Damn...I got dead bone all the way thru the marrow in both knees that they are up and drilling holes all through on Wednesday and a torn meniscus, and all they would give me is Celebrex...which didn't help at all, so I threw it out.

Now *I'M* jealous!


*edited cuz I put the wrong day of the week for my surgery... LOL

No more pop rocks for you !! Dam......hope you get thru this quick but it sounds aweful painful to me.....worse then my broken nose or bad back or anything could be. Morphine makes me peuk so I'd probly rupture sumthin else if I had to take much of that. GOOD LUCK........puffy faced Pam
