Good luck!!

I'll refrain from being a cynic about nursing school!

But I will say this.....It is worth it more than you can even dream now by the end of the road!!!

The ability to touch people's lives when they are most vulnerable is a very precious gift FOR nurses, as well as a gift that each nurse shares with their patients and the patients' families.  Even when it seems like you can't do anything medically to improve the situation, just giving your support as a caring nurse can make all the difference in the world.

And just remember - there's always hope.  Hope means different things to different people, and your own definition of "hope" will probably change a lot over the next year.  Hope just takes on a variety of forms in this profession. :)

So just remember - when things get REALLY tough in school (which they will, sometimes...), you're there for a reason and school will end.  You'll get to do the thing you really love.  Remember to always have heart....knowledge is great, but it doesn't mean much in this profession if you don't have heart.  I know you will, though!  :-*

Best of luck from a new graduate nurse :)

Hugz,
Lizzie2/Carrie :)

Thanks everyone.  Am a little nervous now but am still as happy as ever.

Ever since I was little I always wanted to help people.  I love being a nurse and making a difference.

My mom just got her RN and is taking the state boards in 20 June.  Gonna get her RN study guide for the state board once she is done.

Thanks again...... ;;DKim

God. Not another RN? Half my family are nurses and everybody I know seems to have something to do with it/them. Yikes.  http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/doctor.gif

In your case, I'm making an exception. All the luck in the world.
