It is hard to believe but I think it is true.

Also believe it or not IE will be getting tabs (http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2005/05/26/422103.aspx) just like the rest of the web browsers.

Next thing you know Microsoft Windows will have usable muliple desktops, lets see how Longhorn changes the world.

'approaching' is the key word. I wish they'd 'approach' a reasonable cost.

I think I'll wait until MS produces a production release of their software before I try it. I used to love Beta testing software to help it along to the 1.0PR stage. But I draw the line at having to pay to Beta Test a product.
Meanwhile I'll wait until MS products mature enough to chance on my machines.
So for me I'll stick with Fedora Core Linux.

I'm thinking that my next computer is going to be a Mac.

The last MS product I can remember really liking, was Windows 3.1

Careful. The Mac OS is slowly gaining on MS OS for meaningless crappy bullshit.

They released the new OS and it was only released on DVD disks for installation. So, you only have a CD drive. Please send back (at my cost) the DVD's we shipped, include $9.95 and then in a few weeks we'll send you the CD's (that they probably hadn't planned to create). Must be they hired some of the folks from Redmond to work for them.

More news, someone just announced a new CPU cooler, one that may keep a box running Longhorn from melting.

Now as soon as the 1 TaraByte hard drive and a much faster GPU is fianlly built then a computer meeting Longhorns minimum requirements will exist. I know Microsoft has changed them to real world values, but it was funny at the time.

You're dashing my dreams of a Mac!
I have a promise from my oldest son that at some point in the future I will recieve a new Mac...that because he & I both gnash our teeth in frustration at Windows O/S.
For unknown reasons mine is fond of locking up. I've deleted everything I know is safe to delete (and probably some it was not safe to delete) and I have plenty of RAM and plenty of hard disc space so the only answer to the problem is obviously................ >:( Windows!
