Title: Re: Friday picture for the guitar players. Post by Kevin_M on May 13th, 2005, 11:20am Nice... red, white and blue. Typical rock scene, all strung out on the couch. ;) Luv'em all, partial to the SG, played the EB-3 for about a decade, late 60's to late 70's, course it was customized a bit with Shallers and a nicely carved 8" thumb groove above the pickup. Did they come in any other color? 8) Played with a guy who had a late '50's Les Paul Jr., black, sunburst I think, through a Marshall. Man, never heard anything so raw in my life, that was the coolest sound in a padded garage. Had an early black and white Telecaster bass back then too. Of course my younger brother got hold of them... who knows. The finishes are great on them Pat. *Kramers I see. Were those the guitars that came out in the '70's with the metal neck. A friend had a Kramer bass back then. Kevin M |

Title: Re: Friday picture for the guitar players. Post by ExplodingEyeBall on May 13th, 2005, 11:27am The Kramers originally came out in the mid to late 70s with aluminum necks. They're awesome guitars. Here's the one I miss the most. It's a 1963 Gibson SG JR. This was taken in about 1980, 60 pounds ago. http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b5da34b3127cce917e5157609400000016108EZs2rJy0ba I'd also like to reclaim the 78 Les Paul in this picture if I could find it. http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b5da34b3127cce917e5168e19b00000016108EZs2rJy0ba |

Title: Re: Friday picture for the guitar players. Post by mynm156 on May 13th, 2005, 11:59am The SG doesnt look very symetrical at the top. What year I had a 67 GOD I MISS THAT GUITAR. it was equal on all sides you know like Toni Iommi and Angus use. Friend of mine had the 18 string Razor. Big but REALLY cool. Had an Explorer, Warlock Bass and even had a Bitch for a short time. |

Title: Re: Friday picture for the guitar players. Post by ExplodingEyeBall on May 13th, 2005, 12:06pm Here's a better picture of the same 93 SG. http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b4d606b3127cce9a75691dcd8700000016108EZs2rJy0ba SGs aren't completely symetrical. If you look at the pic of the 63 JR, You'll see the same thing. Here's an Angus Young Signature model. You'll see the same thing here. http://www.gibson.com/Files/img/angusyoungsg.jpg |
