To meet another person with Cluster headaches and I got to meet 2, Kirk and Chuck, Cathi who doesn't have the headaches but has been a great supporter, was there too.
We all met downtown Portland at the train station and spent the afternoon at a near by resturant chatting and getting to no each other.
It was wonderful, I felt like I had known these guys all of my life.
What a wonderful experience Thanks to Cathi, Kirk and Chuck, you made my day.

Heaven's NO, Woobster!! He was grabbing and leering.....I'm not sure Kirk will ever get over the shock!!!!

Ruth and Alex...so glad yuo came out! I look forward to more outings!

Now, go get those grandkids of yours! We're waiiiting!!!!!!!!

I also want to know if Chuck behaved. Since I was new when he first met me at Dancon, he behaved, but Pepp and Bec got the butt squeezes…LOL. When I go next year, I’m wearing padding. ;;D

The rest of Alex's hamburger and the correct oxygen mask to use, I didn't have one of the good kind. Chuck had an extra and gave it to me.

It is great to meet people face to face. I loved meeting bluemeenie. Shame I was at work and di dnot have a camera with me for lunch .

I believe that is the MOST amazing part of Clusterville!
During lunch, someone asked Ruth if she was using o2...she replied that, in fact she was, but "hadn't gotten one of those special masks."..she was referring to a non-rebreather. As I suggested she start a thread at CH.com, Chuck pulled a brand new one out of his bag!He ws just coming off a hit himself.but had the presence of mind, and generosity to share with Ruth on the spot!
Ruth was instantly prepared for the next time she is in cycle..which, hopefully wont be in this epoch!!!
Generous, Thoughtful, funny, smart, and soo caring of others who suffer......THAT's what ya gotta love about Clusterville!!!!!!!!!!!

Jonny, no I will not be in Dallas, and that is a shame. It would be so great to meet all of you.
I will be taking care of my two Grandchildren, Jennifer and Dillon, Jen is 6 and Dillon is 4.
They will be living with me for a long long time I hope.
So it is back to being a full time Mom for me.

Yes, Kirk has a cane, he is in a lot of pain, but still a great guy to be around.
I can't find the words to express how special my day was getting to spend it with some of the family

Good on you Ruth.

It is somewhat a relief to meet some'one who suffers the same as we do and can share what we go through.

I have just come back home from holidays in Perth West Australia, while we were there we met up with my ex sister inlaw and while in general conversation my wife let it slip that I hadn't been well.
When asked what was wrong with me I thought here we go again " the explanation thing " but to our suprise Kath (ex sis inlaw ) told us that she had been a sufferer for more than twenty years.

Well that was it ONE BIG RELIEF DUMP. I have always got on well with Kath, but now we understand each other a lot more and for her new husband it was somewhat of a relief that someone else could understand what Kath had been through.

I guess the moral is some times it pays not to hide you illness.
