Title: Jasper's MRI Post by nani on May 5th, 2005, 9:39am Jasper (LeLimey's 3 y.o.) is getting his MRI today. Jasper, sweetie, I'm sending HUGE nani vibes to you, baby. Helen....sending "let there be nothing wrong" and no CH or migraine vibes and prayers to all of you. Here's hoping the headaches are just a fluke-y and never to recur again thing. Hugs and love, nani |

Title: Re: Jasper's MRI Post by LeLimey on May 5th, 2005, 3:49pm Minnie!! LMAO.. thanks for the grin, I need that! My kids would LOVE to be penpals too, I think that is an excellent idea. Thanks for all the good wishes everyone, thats really made me feel weepy and I was managing without being a wimp up to now too! Its been a tough day, We had to be at the hospital for 9:30 for his pre check thingys and then he was sedated at 11 for the MRI at 11:30. He did not react well, he was trying to climb off the trolley and crying and everything but he had settled and was deeply asleep by the time we got to the scan unit. They let me stay in the room with him, I just had to take off my wedding ring and engagement ring and wear ear defenders. I don't know what good I could have done him, he was fast asleep but it did ME good being able to be with him and not make him face it alone. ( I know it sounds daft.. any of you who expect me to be rational need an MRI yourselves!! ;) ) He wouldn't wake up again after the MRI, They had several attempts all afternoon until he eventaully woke at about four-ish when he promptly started throwing up. We finally got out of the hospital at about 6pm and Jasper is now curled up again watching The Incredibles and ready for sleep.. well it IS bedtime here y'know! I've now got to wait (hopefully) until the beginning of June for his next neuro appt. Its funny.. I want to know right now, this very minute.... and conversely I know that no news is good news. Anyway, as soon as I know anything I will let you all know. Thanks for thinking of us love Helen |
