Updated: 3:45 p.m. ET May 4, 2005
...A big earthquake with the strength of 8.1 on the Richter scale has hit Mexico.  Two million Mexicans have died and over a million are injured.  The country is totally ruined and the government doesn't know where to  start with providing help to rebuild!

    The rest of the world is in shock.  Canada is sending troops to help the Mexican army control the riots.  The European community (except France and Germany) is sending food and money.
The United States, not to be outdone, will be sending two million replacement Mexicans.

     God Bless America!!!

Did any of you see the movie, "The Day After Tomorrow" which came out last summer?

My friend RJ and I went to that movie in the theater.  We laughed through the entire thing.  It really was a great sattire.

At any rate, one of the funniest parts of the movie was when they were talking about all the American refugees rushing into Mexico and Mexico trying to shut down the borders and not let the Americans in.

It really was pretty damn funny.

Hey ya never know when the superpower may need someone else to lean on..even if it is Mexico!

I was saying that you never know when the great strength will need to lean on someone else for a role reversal.

This is a very good reason to dump the IRS completely and go to a nation sales tax. The illegal immigrants are paid 'under the table' and don't pay a dime in income tax. But with a national sales tax they would pay just like everybody else on everything they buy. And their employers would have to pay the sales tax on everything they buy to supply the illegals to do their jobs.

No no no, Damnit!  I may move to Delaware in the  future!!!  I need that state because they have no sales tax!!

LOL  (I'm just kidding...I really have no opinion one way or the other on that matter...except I do like that I can shop tax free in Delaware.) :)

Not a State sales tax. I'm talking about a National or Federal sales tax. Pay a Federal sales tax on everything you buy and never pay income tax again. And you can decide how much tax you want to pay. Don't like paying high tax, no problem, buy a Chevy instead of a Lexus.

Buy Toyota Avalon instead of a Toyota Lexus. That way the workers in Tennesee get the paycheck, the American govenorment gets the taxes and the Japs get the profits.

LMAO  Does that mean that I won't have to pay City Wage tax anymore???  Cuz it keeps going up in Philadelphia, and I swear out of my expected income for the year, I am going to lose a big ole chunk of it to the freaking City Wage Tax!!

And....chevy vs. lexus.  hahahaha  I have a $3000 car, which I don't even own...a 95 Mercury Sable.

You pay you federal taxes on what you buy, not on what you earn. Don't buy anything = don't pay any taxes.

I've never even done my own taxes - my dad does them!

Well the car I wanted was a silver Jetta, but my dad said it costs too much money to repair...they don't have too many junkyard parts available, etc.  (This made a LOT of sense to me because when I hit a mitsubishi, I had wayyyyyyy more damage than the car I hit.  It cost $100 to repair my Ford Taurus and $1800 to repair her car!)

Now I may end up going for a Honda Accord (still silver) because they have a pretty good rep for being safe and reliable.

I'd love to own a BMW, but...uh....maybe after I pay back lots of loans first! ;)

Dave owns a Honda Civic, so that's fun! :)
