An interesting event happened at the homefront yesterday that I thought I'd share.

My wife has a brother whom she's never met. He is now 38 yrs. old. Unfortunately he was given up for adoption at childbirth. We'll long story short, after around 6 years of looking he called yesterday and found her.

My wife is tickled pink. It is like a dream come true for her. We will be going to see her "new" brother next week in Indiana. :)

I have to admit though when I read that Happy called, I thought you had gotten a phone call from Randy.

I met my birth family when I turned forty. We all get along great. My birth mother asked me what I thought of my new family and I told her I just belong to one more dysfunctional family, she agreed. It is pretty strange though being accepted unconditionally. Finding them was something I wanted to do ever since I was a kid. I went into it not expecting anything and I was not disappointed. I am glad I did it.

How lovely to start the day learning good news like this.
I am so happy when families are re-united... it helps to give the individuals completeness of mind body and soul.

My sister is adopted. She got to meet her birth Mother and half sisters. She just got medical info from her, an answer to why she was put up for adoption, and they hit it off great. However, they have agreed to pretty much stay out of eachothers lives and let life go on. I just remember how happy it made her meeting everyone.

Thats lovely! Its a piece of puzzle put in its place now, no matter what happens your wifehas answers and a face for a name. I'm really pleased for her and you too of course. Let us know how it all turns out won't you?!

Man, am I a jaded, cynical suspicious old fuck or what? First thing that came to my mind as I started reading this was Be Careful. Somebody shoot me. Shoot me now.

Really, I hope everything turns out well.

I've got an older half sister in Germany (the old man got a little careless in his Army days) that I have never met. I wonder about her now and then. Of course with my old man, I also wonder if she's the only one. ;;D

I met my birth mother when I was 21. (She'd been 100% absent from my life since I was 9 months old, and now she is again, but all's well that ends well.) ;)
