I read a self-help book which asked me to answer to the following question:

If you would know that the world will end a week from tomorrow, what would you do?

My first thought was that I'd travel to London or New York. But week is a short time...
I could also stay at home and write a novel, even though I'd know that I'd never finish it so soon that it would be published.
But that's about it.

I'd pack up the camper and go into seclusion with my wife and my daughter. I wouldn't let them know about the world ending if they didn't know already.

I'd swallow my pride and forgive my father, even though he doesn't seek it. I'd then fly my family down to Florida so my kids could meet him (they were babies when we last saw him)

I'd go spend time with my grandmother and siblings and neices and nephews for a day or so too.

I really like the idea of taking my family into seclusion. Except we'd take a tent. We love camping so that would be a great way to spend time.

I would make sure everyone I love knows it. I'd show it with everthing I have.

I wouldn't change anything, other than to phone distant friends and family and tell them that I love them.

Me, I'd pack da spousal unit and cat in the Ole Expediton, grab my sisters and thier families and head to the beach (OBX). Then, I'd party like it's 1999!

I'm pretty lucky. I've already forgiven those I need to forgive. (That doesn't mean I have to like them, or what they did was OK). Forgiveness is freeing. I guess I would hunker in with my family. Have fun, laugh, do things I'm afraid to do or afraid to let the kids do. We're all gonna die anyway...why not go out laughing? [smiley=laugh.gif]

Just to see the reaction... I'm not bitter... really...

Oh yeah... I always wanted to take a computer and throw it off a roof... or maybe smash it with a baseball bat. And wouldn't it be neat, just once to lead the cops on a high speed chase... just for kicks... probably have to save that one for the last day. It would also be good to get some M80's or half-sticks and blow stuff up like in the olden days. I'd turn my amp up to 11... the Spinal Tap Way. Then I'd go dance with Langa. 8)
(I'd don't think this is the kind of stuff the self-help book had in mind... although I could be wrong...)

Yeah, I'd probably do all that mushy family stuff too since I'm really just a big kid.

OMG...what would you do !!!!
Pray that I didn't have an attack so that I could enjoy the 7 days, would have to be with all those that I love..don't care what we do ..just as long as we're together.. my family and friends are the important things to me..

[smiley=laugh.gif] I would eat what ever I wanted.. to heck with watching weight.. ;) Gather my love ones and spend one heck of a week showing them how much I love them (I tell them all the time).. And like Explodingeyeball, I wouldn't let them know it was their last week, if they didn't already know, so they would enjoy them selves.

Unfortunately, yes. In the shithole where I live ya can hear the neighbors piss... so 11 is not really an option :(

Maybe someday when I find another income I can move, but right now I'm competing with too many DINKs to afford it.
