My demon-cat caught, toyed with, then killed and ate a baby bunny, yesterday. When he was done with it, all that was left was:

One head, minus ears, cleanly severed.
One set of guts, perfectly intact. Heart, liver, intestines, all removed neatly, as one unit. A forensic pathologist couldn't have done a neater job.
One fluffy little tail. (which made me rather sad, actually)
A quarter of one hind flank. I guess he got too full to finish it off.

The rest of it, bones and all, were GONE. When he first caught it, he would bring it to the concrete pad beneath the outdoor stairs and then clean himself nonchalantly, until the bunny made a break for it. Then he would lope after it and then pounce, seize it by the scruff of the neck the way a mother cat carries her young, and carry it back to the concrete pad that served as the "dinner table."

Then he lazed on the deck for a couple of hours, sunning himself, grooming himself, and digesting his meal. He looked at me with half-lidded eyes as if to say, "I can't believe I ate the WHOLE THING!!"

This morning, he was watching the squirrels capering around the base of the trees... I said to him, "Don't do it. Those squirrels will kick yer ass!" He glanced at me, clearly unimpressed.

I have a serial killer for a pet... Great... [smiley=laugh.gif]

We came home late one nite and was greeted by a parakeet head on the floor in the hallway...........chirp burp Pam
