Thought this was worth sharing.

The National Directory of Cell Phone Numbers is about to be published. Once this happens telemarketers will have access to your cell phone number. Because many of us rely on our cell phones for business use, this will be extremely disruptive. These calls will also use our cellular minutes.

In a few weeks, cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls. Call this number from your cell phone 888-382-1222. It is the national Do Not Call list. It blocks your number for 5 years. Please pass on to anyone that might have been missed. You can also go to https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx and register online.

The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) prohibits both for-profit and non-profit marketers from using an automatic telephone dialing system (including predictive dialers) to call any device when the called party is charged unless that called party has given prior, express consent. Therefore, as a legal matter, marketers using automatic dialing systems should not call consumers' or businesses' cellular phones, pagers or toll-free numbers unless they have given you permission to do so.

Now they can dial it by hand and its ok. So What the solution?? The national do not call list!!!

From what I was told on the 'do not call list' is that they can not call again within 30 days.......but it's not a permanent thing. Don't call me I'll call you Pam

Actually, you can add your cell phone number to the National Do Not Call List just like your home phone.

Just so you know, this was an ALL employee bulletin from where I work. My company has over 30,000 employees. I'm sure this is NOT a hoax.
