LOL! I'd want an alligator too. I'd feed it a steady diet of dogs that bark all night and run all over the neighborhood because they have owners who are inconsiderate jerks. >:( [smiley=laugh.gif]

I have always wanted a Bengal. I just love their markings and I have heard they are very intergenic cats. They are bigger then the average cat.

Eventually, Kim. Right now, I have a vicious predator that's jet-black, and a prissy orange longhair who looks like a Twinkie with ears. If/when something happens to them, (god forbid) then yeah, a Bengal is going to be my next feline friend. :)

I have two gray tabbies myself and they are my babies. I just spent all day on Sunday making them a cat tree that cost me $50 to the product on the internet $200 some odd dollar ones.

So as you can see I don't spoil my babies. [smiley=crackup.gif]

They are not only cool looking cats, they have personalities like dogs. Mine will play fetch and play in water. He is pretty amazing.

Do you guys ever watch that station animal planet with the Animal Cops? I love that show. Makes me a little sad, but Im hooked on it. I want to quit my job and open up a shelter.

Frank......yes, they are gorgeous regal cats..HOWEVER.please check into the breed. My mother had one for 2 yrs. He was slow to warm up, but eventually he bacame her best friend. Shockingly, Mom called me one morning, begging me to come over and "save" her from Benji(the bengal).........he had gone totally feral on her.......was in attack mode and would NOT allow her to move about the house, asz he was under her bed, waiting to attack her. He terrorized an old woman for HOURS in the middle of the night.
As for me, I never have purchased an animal..they find us instead. Oh, and ,I w ish I had my camera handy right now, as Pepper, my sweet tuxedo cat, is perched on top of my monitor, purring up a blue streak, trying to catch my hand as I type away.
Give me the speed bumps of the feline world, the wide loads, the ones who press their noses against our sidelights on Thanksgiving morning, then are overjoyed to become a part of the household....
Ahh...y'know what?? I'm rambling......Frank, pretty as they are.......PLEASE, for your daughter's sake, check out the breed!

Frank, I forgot Fubar has 2 of the loveliest bengals.....and he has NEVER said anything about them going feral......
maybe Mom got a lemon.who knows.
Anywhoo, at this point, Phantom and Buddy and Pepper and Camry would shred any other cat to step through these doors......

SQUEEEEEELLLLL........I LOVE cats and I LOVE bengals.....they are goreous cats and now you can get snow bengals !!! My freind got a snow leopard last fall......beutiful cat. I have a pic of FU bengal on my desktop he sent me some time ago....wow....they are totally cool cats !! He could tell you alot about them....and how they are sold in levels to how close the kittens bein sold are back to the original Asian leopard wild cat parent. Closer ancestors can show more wild cant instincts like the stalking tendencies....my freinds bengal is only bout a level 2 and has been stalking her legs and attacking her rather aggressively. If they get scared they can actually act like a corner'd wildcat depending on there breeding.There NOT CHEAP cats tho....but man are they ever kick ass cool !! I raised siamese for years and have 5 all fixed as house pets now......some of the siamese carry the gene which is stated in this link article with pics. I have one that is very exotic with big blue eyes. We want to get a few bengals someday and have been thinkin of maybe getting back into raiseing them. I had kittens very similar to the snow bengals in the link here.....spots were barely visible. Cat tails Pam

OMG, Pam!! The Snow Leopard Bengal is BEAUTIFUL!! I usually don't give money to PETA or any of the other "environmentalist" organizations, but I make small donations to the Snow Leopard Fund, annually. :)

The most important thing about these cats is finding a good breeder who knows what they are doing. The three bengals I have had were all from different breeders, and what a difference it makes. I've never seen feral behavior in any of mine, but my main cat, Taz, is the sweetest cat on the planet. He sleeps with me every night, and when my girlfriend is here he sleeps with her. No territorial issues at all. In the morning, sometimes he wakes me up with kisses.

The raising of these cats is a lot like rasing a dog. The cat needs to be socialized properly or you will not have a healthy relationship with it. I wouldn't recommend a Bengal to someone who doesn't know how to train animals. Cats like this do not ever forget anything. If you hit them, they will remember it for life. Yelling at them is not unlike striking them. You have to understand what you are trying to achieve and be diligent about doing the work it takes to get there. These are not normal house cats.

All that being said, I've never had a more intensely loyal pet or a more loving pet. The day I picke him up at the airport cargo center, he walked right over to me and fell alseep in my lap. We have been best friends ever since.

If you really do start looking for a Bengal, let me know and I'll hook you up with the right breeeder. They raise all of the kittens by hand in their house and they produce amazing cats.

I have desperately wanted one of these for years. However with a three year old I'm going to be desperately wanting one for a lot longer. Every pic is wonderful so thanks everyone and Cootie I have bookmarked that site. I'm only about an hour or so from that breeder so I'll be paying them a visit when Jabs starts school!

I've had some gorgeous LINX siamese born that look almost identical to the snow bengal......there siamese with striped legs face and tail. Silvermackerals have total body stripeing jus like a real bengal tiger. I have one of them with big blue eyes.....he looked like a white tiger till he was about 1 yr old then the stripeing darken'd and his white turned a dark silver. It's not tabby stripeing either.
