Title: Spock was a clusterhead Post by bigAl on Apr 4th, 2005, 12:10am Does anyone remember the episode of Star Trek the original where Spock had a killer headache? What was the name of that one? He used his logical brain to convince himself that it was only pain and that he could ignor it if he chose to do so. Actually it seems like the headache was caused by an alien organism. Hey, maybe that's it! We're all haunted by aliens...and you were all calling them monsters and demons. Hmmm. bigAl >:( |

Title: Re: Spock was a clusterhead Post by Opus on Apr 4th, 2005, 12:48pm I don't remember him having a headache, I do remembering him getting shot from darts of a plant and suffering extreme body pain. I also remember that the cure was ultraviolet light at super high intensities. Opus/Paul who wishes he could see the original Star Trek again, since Enterprise just doesn't cut it. |

In "This Side of Paradise" (Stardate 3417.3 (yes, I realise my nerd is showing...)), on Omicron Ceti Three, Spock was infected with spores from a plant which initially caused him great pain but then gave him emotions and happiness. But the "cure" for those was not ultraviolet light, it was negative emotions. It was the aliens in "Operation - Annihilate!" (star date 3287.2, 3289.8 ) that were killed by ultraviolet light (they looked a lot like fried eggs). It was in this episode that Spock used his mental discipline to fight the pain the infection was causing. /nerd You can get the original series on DVD. Hirvimaki-Isi |
