Title: How about something really off-topic? Post by De_Minimis on Apr 1st, 2005, 11:10pm So, any of you old VW bug freaks or motorcycle nuts? May as well talk about something fun while we're here. Wife told me that since I'm so sleep deprived, I don't get to work on my '79 Convertible (slow restoration) this weekend, but rather, I must lay around and rest (not nap, of course). I believe she may be mistaken. Any fellow Blue Knights out there? |

Title: Re: How about something really off-topic? Post by Redd715 on Apr 1st, 2005, 11:31pm As long as you aren't sleeping, thats the perfect time to catch up on projects anyway. So long as the beast stays away. Insomnia during a cycle is one of the common themes. Take advantage of it if you can... |

Title: Re: How about something really off-topic? Post by PrettyH8Machine on Apr 2nd, 2005, 12:30am Sorry your not sleeping. Know the insomnia road all too well. Actually, I always wanted a Bug. Since I was a kid I thought they were the coolest cars, and when we would be on long trips, me and my brothers would play a game where the first one to notice a Bug on the road would yell "Beetlebug" and got a point. Guess who always won? If I got a classic, I'd want a blue one like this bad puppy. http://www.pre67vw.co.uk/shows/photos/Bug_Jam_17/100_0645.jpg If I got a new one, I'd get the U2 edition. Title: Re: How about something really off-topic? Post by jokrs2 on Apr 2nd, 2005, 2:24am I used to own a 55 vw bug with a big bore kit, and my dad helped me build a 62 bug with a sun roof that had a porsche engine.....Lot's of fun back in the 70's and always had the cops looking at me. 8) |

Title: Re: How about something really off-topic? Post by fubar on Apr 2nd, 2005, 4:25pm when the kids were too big for slug bug (in other words, they would slug too hard and somebody would always get pissed) we started the "X bug" game. When you saw a bug you would do X and yell "X bug", but X couldn't hurt. And you couldn't use the same X twice. We've had fart bug, blow bug, blink bug, poke bug, tickle bug, slime bug, wet willie bug... you get the idea. I think it was more fun. ;;D |
