Title: Re: Sweet tooth Post by Langa on Apr 1st, 2005, 3:32pm I have no clue…I don’t usually have a sweet tooth (unless it’s Girl Scout cookies – only the Samoas). My weakness is salty stuff, pretzels, crackers, chips… There’s a few chocoholics here that might be able to assist you further… Welcome by the way! Langa |

Title: Re: Sweet tooth Post by vietvet2tours on Apr 1st, 2005, 5:54pm Since the hypothalamus also has something to do with appetite I always am famished just before and following a bout. I go through a lot of chocolate like a giant can of hershey's syrup a month, eight pounds. I also eat one of them seven ounce bars daily. It's health food. |

Title: Re: Sweet tooth Post by purpleydog on Apr 1st, 2005, 7:00pm Hershey's with almonds, one a day. Sometimes two, I just gotta have it. Got a stash hidden at home. I have a terrible sweet tooth, but I don't indulge it too much. Especially before I get hit. |

Title: Re: Sweet tooth Post by nani on Apr 1st, 2005, 7:37pm Chocolate is my main food group. Always has been, it's likely that it always will be. :-/ I really thought that the magnesium supplements would help. They don't. :-/ signed, chubby chocolate lover |

Title: Re: Sweet tooth Post by Kris_in_SJ on Apr 1st, 2005, 7:49pm I'm not normally a sweet lover ... would much prefer noodles and mashed potatoes. However, if on a Prednisone taper during cycle, I simply MUST have Heath Bars ... lots of them ... much of the time! I've been known to cruise town at 3 AM looking for one. Kris |

Title: Re: Sweet tooth Post by Miklos on Apr 1st, 2005, 10:11pm While I truly enjoy sweets (especially chocolate), I have lost eleven pounds during this cycle. Probably associated with the Topamax. This cycle is just about done, but I may stay on the Topamax until I get down to my optimum weight. Six more pounds to 155. Before you jump on me, I am kidding. This medicine has had no noticeable effect on this cycle except to perhaps minimize the intensity of the headaches, and I will be tapered off in four more days. |

What meds are you taking? One of the many meds I have taken specifically stated that craving for sweets was a side effect. I don't remember which one, though. |
