Just Thinking

As i sit in pain and wonder
what it'd be like with the beast gone asunder

Not having to dwell, or think, or care
"I KNOW I put my meds some place, somewhere"

To have a day without the threat
of thinking " here it comes I bet"

A life of coming and going as you please
not worrying of this bastardly disease

The times of fun and pleasure too
all enjoyed without you know who

A movie, or dinner, or even a drink
never caring if my head might kink

To have a life "normal" people take for granted
without this pain I feel, so deeply implanted

All my days enjoyed pain free
I hope some day it will be me

I know how you feel, Steve.

Your words speak volumes.

For example, I have started planning my lunch hour to coincide with the "mid-day hit" so I dont have to be at work when the beast arrives. A Grand Slam for lunch please....NOT!
