Right now in my room...I have this little tiny tv from the stone ages.  I get the major networks, and then I have to turn to channel "U" to adjust the other dial to go above 12 or some such nonsense!  Does anyone remember tv's like this???


Also...at school, when I first moved in, I got a deal for 3 digital boxes, HBO, and skinemax for about $50 a month.  The deal ended in December, and I had to return all 3 boxes.  Not only did they charge me another $50 installation fee for coming to remove my cable boxes, but now I pay $60/month for crap tv, and I don't even get Lifetime!!!  haha  To have kept the current setup would have jumped to around $95/month.  Good thing this is only for another 2 months!

Why does ............the amount of chocolate in an easter egg expand in a kids stomach so when the puke them back up they cover EVERYTHING???  [smiley=huh.gif]

and why DOESN'T Vanish make chocolate puke stains bloody well vanish????

Damn Helen, sorry about that!  I don't know if it necessary expands or it's the force it comes out with...kids have this projectile vomit that reaches clear across a room... :-[

Oh...sorry Helen!! Kid puke should have a category of it's own. I, who gag at just the thought of puke, have been puked on by every kid in my family. Red Gatorade puke stains never come out.... :-/

Sometimes I watch news on MSNBC internet(I don't have a TV or cable...just internet, I can download most anything I want to watch off the net) they do the same thing...nail you with the same commercial for every newsclip....man I hate advertising. I guess it's really getting bad now...but at least they finally have popup blockers built into windoze Xtra craP.

I couldn't believe it but my brother is getting spammed on his cellphone...lol...friggin technology ain't all it's cracked up to be. [smiley=damncomputer.gif]

Only good entertainment I ever got from a TV was Christmas 1980 when I threw a GP boot through the screen.

It was glorious - all spits and sparks and fits and farts!

It was the advertising made me do it and I haven't had one since, but just watching a mate's TV recently I realise how far it's gone down the toilet since then.

Hell I used to have to turn channels with pliers.......

PS: My 'Direct TV' satillite service advertises Dish Network.........

Yes yes...  Loud sound REALLY bothers me....like to the point where I want to be sick.  I can't stand noise.  My dad already watches the tv loudly, and when the commercials come on, I'll pretty much rip the remote out of anyone's hand just to get it muted!  Although I guess that is showing the commercials are less effective since the loudness of them makes me just turn them off! ;)

We have 100 channels of cable, advertising everything from everybody for more of everything. Neato. I turn down the programs, and only watch the commercials. Spells out a society pretty well, but that's not the point.

I was starved, and found a box of Animal Crackers on the counter. Tore it open, and the last thing I saw in print was "Do not eat if Seal is broken."

Shit.

I have cable for South Park and Sci-fi.........I only like cat food commercials and ones for Corona beer. If I break a seal in a box of animal crackers I jus put a tiger in my tank. That's how the cookie grumbles Pam

My PBS runs some commercials too. Pfizer says they contribute or something. They aren't standard commercials but commercials nonetheless.

I love it when Time-Warner tells us how unreliable satellites are when they have all those dishes in back of the building.....  :o

Our fist tv was 1949. It came on at 4:00 PM and went off around 11:30 after local news. Neighbors got together at people's homes with TV for Uncle Milty and Martinis.

I get 32 channels here that run movies and hundreds if I want pay per view sports and other goofball stuff but I have a hard time deciphering news from Peking and Tokyo. If it wasn't for WWII, where would cable be?

I didn't even GIVE my kids chocolate or candy (we had raisins, rabbit shaped cheddar crackers and fruit chews) and I still had one puke!  I think it is just one of those unexplainable Easter traditions...


As far as TV goes...don't watch it with the exceptional episode of Mad TV...I just love Stewart!!
