Title: Never Count Your Chickadees Before They Hatch!
Post by PrettyH8Machine on Mar 24th, 2005, 2:06am
Otherwise you'll wind up like I usually do and wear some egg on your face.   [smiley=ohjez.gif]

I hadn't mentioned anything about the writing agent on here until I knew for sure, but couldn't contain myself. It was a bunk deal, so I am kind of bummed, but not as bummed as I would have been if I had to pay a consultation fee to an attorney - luckily. An attorney of a friend of mine looked things over pro bono; otherwise just the first consult could have been between 175 to 500 smackers. I'm not gonna fret too bad over it though. I have too many other things that can stress me out enough, like the band not coming together, mega panic attacks, yada yada yada. Also been having problems with my puter here. The harddrive is getting ready to die on me, and couldn't get my machine running halfway normal until tonight.

After being CH free for 21 days I had 3 attacks 3 weeks ago today. So for a chronic, I guess 3 attacks in 6 weeks time ain't too bad eh. While I was at my brothers house today, I started getting the pressure building in my temple and was like "Oh fuck, here it comes." But only got to a level 3 or 4 for about a half hour. When it was starting my first instinct was to grab my Trex I have stashed at my brothers, but my sis in law was like "Don't you dare do it. You know it'll probably start progressing more with rebounds" so I just rode it out. I'm just glad it didn't crank up to 10. All I can say is - 'shrooms work!!!!

The last two weeks have been nuts here. I've been trying to find a new bass player and rhythm guitarist for my band, with no luck. I had hoped to start playing gigs this month to try and start digging out of the financial rut I have been in. It seems like the hurrier I go, the behinder I get.

Last week my mother's oldest brother passed away at 75. My mom came from a big family; 13 kids in all. All that remain now are two aunts and three uncles. Next month on my 35th birthday will also be the 12th anniversary of my moms passing. What is kind of strange is, I was born on my mom's birthday and in '93 she died on our bday. She would have turned 65 this year. It doesn't feel like it has been that long. It seems like the older you get, the faster time goes. Oh to be a kid again. If I could turn back time...

Peace,
CD

Oh I'm sorry it turned out to be a bum deal Carl, look on the bright side though.. at least they thought YOU were worth it even if you didn't fancy their chances as much! :)
I'm pleased the shrooms are working for you.. keep going with that! I agree with your S-I-L... don't take the trex!!
Good luck with finding new guitarists! I hope you get the band together soon.
Oh and Kasabian are back home here next month! I'm going to see them on April 30th at the Nottingham Arena! This is almost a home gig for them being Leicester boys which is only about 15 miles from here so it should be bloody good

Carl,

I hope everything works out for you! :)
I am very happy that you got PF days. I wish more of them your way.  :)

You know, my birthday next month has also a shadow: my dad died 4 days after that. I'll turn 25 and he's been gone for 8 years... :(

Best wishes & PFdays,
Sandie

Carl!  Good to hear from you, finally!  Glad the shrooms are treating you well.  Sounds like you may need to do the more frequent dosing thing to stay pf.

Sorry about the book thing.  At least they didn't scam you into releasing your manuscript to them and have you end up with zilch.  I hope the band comes together for you soon.  I'm interested in hearing some of your new material.

Take it easy, bro.

Carl:

Glad some stuff is working out for you but sorry about the book deal. It's not easy getting stuff published. You are a member of a HUGE club.

You're doing okay Carl and KBO. (Keep Buggering On....I like this)

Charlie
