Football is a sport played mainly with the feet. That's why it's called FOOTball.

LMAO Hirv.  That was good.
How many times does that stupid son play?  The best part was how the map had different places labeled:

England: ninjas and lasers and gold
Southern England: sheep and dirt
Scotland: Haggis and Scotch Eggs
Ireland: Guiness and fighting

That was pretty good.

Some of us Brit women love football. Supported Chelsea for  41 years but never been to see them play. Made a lifetime promise to my father that I would never go to see them play. We do have problems with football hooliganism, and quite frightening. It is all about money now.  David Beckham...who's he???

Sorry love, no football fan here either.
Give me Formula 1 any day, the men are better looking and richer (but only slightly richer)

oh and occasionally they have brains and can put several words together and make a sentence ;;D

I get football/soccer on cable here if I surf the long way. Can't say I've stuck around for it. The same goes for basketball which I think is the most boring game ever divised.

I'm supposed to have listened to some hidden message thing somewhere? I have dialup and never download audio stuff. Too lazy.

Phwoarrr Wendy I couldn't agree more! Was up earlier than God this morning to watch the Malaysian GP (Best bit was Schuey!!  [smiley=laugh.gif] Gotta love it when he doesn't make the podium! )

agreed Helen

can't stand Schuey, even before he started winning everything. No sex appeal there. Love Eddie Irvine (I would even though I'm happily married) but he's a crap driver suspect he is thinking of sex or is hungover when he should be driving.
I actually do watch the races sometimes too, was at the Barcelona Grand Prix last year, now they DO know how to stage an event unlike Silverstone and Brands Hatch.

Bugger Soccer and F1 - at least the cricket season will soon be along. Trying to explain that here could be fun. :)

Oooh.. Wendy.. Eddie Irvine - I'll fight you for him  [smiley=laugh.gif] I really liked Jonny Herbert too but my favourite current driver is David Coulthard closely followed by Mark Webber (I met him and Louise Goodman and they can tell some FILTHY jokes!) Schuey is a boxhead, nuff said! Seriously though he is so talented that he pisses me off big time by being such a bad sport.

Simon... cricket?! I just about know there are 6 balls in an over! My favourite bit was always long nights debating LBW's over booze in the clubhouse!

Just remembered - can't be many here who've taught a F1 racing driver. (Pretty tenuous claim to fame though it is!)

Ralph Firman drove a few races for Jordan a couple of years back, but unfortunately didn't have the success he deserved. Taught him (not driving!) in the late 80s.

You know the F1 saying: if you wanna win, take a Finn!  ;;D
