That is so sad!

A couple years ago I was driving with my dad on the highway.  Before we knew it a mama duck led her duckies across the road right in front of us.  The car in front of us blew them around like tumbleweeds.  We took care of the rest - nailed them going about 60.  Nothing we could do.  Traumatized my dad.  It was like a really bad cartoon.

Hey Casey,

Thanks for sharing that warm fuzzy story this Monday morning. Put me in the mood to go to work.

Ed Norton:  Hey Ralphy boy, guess what I found today at work.  Trixie said to she knew a farmer that would take them in and a Chinese restaurant owner said he would take them there for me, and mentioned something about establishing their Peking order.

None.  Good thing too, I don't think we could have handled it.

My parents are divorced, but arr friendly.  My mom was in the car at the time too.  The next day we were all in Boston and my mom bought my dad a shirt with a mama duck and all her duckies on it.  It pissed my dad off, in a funny way.

A couple of weeks ago my sister called and said that she went to start her boyfriend's car and heard a cat screaming.  Turns out it got caught in the fan or something.  Took her boyfriend an hour to get it out of the engine, and put it out of its misery.

I still need to buy her a shirt with little kitties on it  ;;D

BTW - don, pigeons deserve it.

The driveway into my job is 4 miles long across the desert. We have a lot rabbits that like to sit along side the road and wait to the last second to play the hare version of "Hey Bubba, watch this!"
Damned parasite invested rodents! Sometime you have to swerve two or three times to get them.

Okay, you have to get this song "Poisoning Pidgeons In The Park."  Hilarious!!!  I got it from Doctor Demento.

I don't have enough room on my website for it or I'd post it there for download.  If I find a place to download it from, I will let you know.

Pigeons never seem to move out of the way of my Jeep. I keep thinking they'll fly away as I get closer, but they don't. They just look at me, and then I hear them having a blunt disagreement with my chassis. Damn flying rats...

My daughter came in the house crying one day, after the bus dropped her off. Through her sobs she managed to tell me that the bus had run over a squirrel and it stuck to the tire and kept going "around and around, like it was stuck on a really terrible carnival ride." I was torn between being sympathetic and laughing my ass off.  [smiley=laugh.gif]

Gator I have a CD by Tom Lehrer ( Tom Lehrer in concert) with "poisoning pigeons in the park" and several other twisted songs on it. I love it. Its really clever stuff!

One night at twilight I was driving home and visibility was pretty low...
all of a sudden I could see three raccoons crossing the road single file and I couldn't stop.
I know I hit 1 and 3 solid with the right and left front tires.  I've been wondering for years what happened to the one in the middle...
Did he escape under the car or did I get him too for the trifecta?

Try moving and not leaving a forwarding address..... ;;D

This is terrible but I REALLY did this... My son was in boarding school and took a private plane home one weekend. As luck would have it we had JUST moved (he knew the town, but not the address). They landed at the wrong airport and he didn't have a clue where to go. My parents were waiting at "another" airport for him. We didn't even have our phone hooked up. But my parents found him and brought him home........ Think he'll be out of therapy in about 10 years........

Frank:

When I was a kid I used to shoot pigeons. One time all I had was my 410. Not sure what size shot but I found that they explode in a cloud of blood and dust like the WTC.

Just doing my part kids. http://www.netsync.net/users/charlies/gifs/russian.gif

Can you blame them. They are paying 3 years salary in tuition only to find out your training rats and pigeons.

Haven't seen that category on monster. com

OMG Leesa I've done that too! [smiley=laugh.gif] I was ALOT younger then too!
I got my dads pet chickens drunk too. Soaked grain in malt whisky and fed it to them. They were squawking and trying to fly all over the place and as fast as he got one in the coop another two would fly out. He was there all day and I hid all night! Still to this day don't know what pissed him off more.. drunken chickens or the loss of a bottle of single malt!

So, my dead animal story ....

Last year, I was doing laundry when my dryer started making a strange grinding sound, then stopped.  Couldn't find the problem, so went to the laundromat.

Next day, the repairman came.  I was in the kitchen cooking dinner when he came upstairs carrying a baby possum by the tail.  Do I need to say what that looked like?!?  A baby possum that had been caught in the fan blades of the dryer?!?  Apparently crawled into the vent hole and fell down the tube into the fan.

My husband does the laundry now.  I won't go into the basement.

That was one huge elaborate scheme to get your husband to do the laundry.  Sacrificing poor animals just to get out of housework...

Them there possums are miserable creatures anyway....well a friend did keep it in a cage as a pet. She had to hold it back with a shovel every time she fed the thing......yes, she was insane. She did have goat named Freddie that used to butt me all over the yard at her place. I liked him better than Doug and Susie, her pet pigs.

Hee Haw,

Smart tactic for it to play 'possum, but it didn't plan on the the Pammer's counter manuever.    ;;D

Good one Pammy!

LMAO, Pam! I had just finished mowing my grass when I saw one sitting in the middle of my land, sitting back on its haunches. I got somewhat close to it, and it began hissing at me!! I went back in the house to get the shotgun, but by the time I got back, it had vacated the area. Oppossums are nasty, ugly, horrid creatures.  >:(
