it has already been one year since I started my new life?

I actually missed the "anniversary" of it by a few days....

I wanted to make sure that I told all of you here how much you all truly mean to me. Throughout all of this past year YOU have stuck with me! When my family and boss failed me , YOU were always there. When I needed someone to talk to, it was YOU I turned to. When I needed to laugh or to get some advice, it is YOU I rely on. When the kids and I were struggling to make ends meet, it was YOU that came to the rescue. I feel so lucky to have a family like all of YOU!!

Without YOU, my loving family here, I do not think I would be as happy as I truly am today.

One year later, I have a better job, a better apartment, my own car, the kids are receiving the medical and dental care they need and we are all HAPPY AND SAFE. Guess you could say this is testimony that leaving an abusive ex CAN be done successfully (with a little help from your friends!). I owe you all so much.

Anyways, I just wanted to say thank you to all of you.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

I love you each and every one!

I'm so glad you posted this. Both 'cos I'm over the moon for you and 'cos I know of a couple of other family members here going through the same thing. You are living proof that you don't just survive but that things can and do get better!
