This morning, the morning of my aunt's internment, I woke up to an inch of water on the first floor and a flooded basement with dripping floor joists.

I never thought I would have an indoor pool!

I HAD to leave right then.... funerals won't wait....

Chad, a neighbor, immediately came over with his shop vac... cleaned it all up, fixed up the fridge (it was the ice maker that flooded the house), set up fans, etc...... and has been back at least twice since then to check on things....

THANK YOU, Chad for dealing with all the crap and making my day easier!

I have neighbors like that too. I haven't had such a serious emergency, but it feels great to know that there are people around you who can be counted upon. Way to go Chad!

Sorry to hear of your aunt Liz. My sympathies.

AND.....hang on to those friendly neighbors.......they're hard to come by these days.
