Thank you all for the kind thoughts and heartfelt condolences regarding the loss of my dear friend, Sandy. I have less depressing news today.

My girlfriend (Jennifer) and I went through the most crucial step of our IVF procedure today. Stanford Medical Hospital was able to harvest 4 eggs from Jen today, and they were also able to harvest some swimmers from my previously non-functional (vasectomy) testicles. Let me tell you... that was no picnic, but it was no cluster attack. On second thought, you could call it a cluster attack :-X. No matter... we have (hopefully) 4 eggs that have been fertalized today, and we will find out Saturday if we have any viable embryos to implant.

We will both be happy with anything healthy, but if y'all secretly sent vibes and wishes for twin girls... well we kinda wanna stack the deck in that direction. Never underestimate the power of global conscienceness. You can make anything happen if you think about it.

So, along with the passing of one life, I hope to also celebrate the beginning of one or more lives with the woman I love. Thank you guys.

Twin girl wishes and vibes, Shawn.
When my neice was about 5 she said she wanted to have twin girls when she grew up. She said she wanted to name them LaDonna and ShaDonna. I figured I'd throw that in in case you needed ideas for names. ;;D

Alas it was not meant to be twins...

We got news this morning that only one egg actually fertalized. While Jen is pretty disappointed, we still have a decent chance at one baby.

More than ever, I need prayers and vibes to make sure this precious life is actually brought into this world.
