35 days...
3 attacks...

I can get 3 attacks in one 24 hour period.

currently 12 days no attacks, prior to the 3, no attacks for 21 days.

The only thing I have to attribute this magnificent cessation of the Cluster attacks is Psilocybin. Magic Mushrooms or 'Shrooms. I did 3 doses, but started seeing instant results after 2nd dose. I have written Harvard about this as well. I just passed my 7 year chronic anniversary, have tried shrooms in the past, but never with these results. Not like this.

I still have a sore spot in my temple, but it is going away slowly. However, what is not going away is a very stiff upper neck, and the back of my head still feels like it may blow off 24/7. This has yet to be determined as to the actual cause, but I have other stuff than CH going on as well. But nothing has been a blocker to my life like CH, and as a result of the beast going on holiday, so have I... and one thing lovely about Sauget, IL - it is like Vegas baby. What happens there, stays there.

On a sad note, I must replace my bass player in my new band, as he has become an inactive member and I am ready to start gigging NOW! Got a great drummer though (one of the best) and may have the additional guitarist/ vocalist, and have a keyboardist waiting in the wings should I need one. Hopefully soon though this will come together and I will be back at work with this new band, "Protein Shake." ;;D

Right now I have no backup on the shrooms, but still have a couple of sources to check. Since it is hard to find, and I cannot cultivate due to the fact I will be moving soon, and other reasons. If all else fails, I am getting some Kudzu and checking it out.

Plus, it has been nice to go down from using 12-14 meds a day to 3 or 4 a day. I can't wait until the day I am pill free (outside of vitamins!!!)

Something else I talked with a friend about the other day. I found it interesting.

I used to use acid/ shrooms recreationally as a youth, gave it up when I was 17. Later in that year was my first cluster season. Cycled through to '92. Started tripping on occasion with good friends. Did it a few times that year, but quit before the new year. '93 brought the worst cycle of my life. It lasted a couple of years on and off. Moved back to Ill and Feb of '96, tripped for the last time with friends. Didn't go chronic until February of '98, and incapacitated totally by april of '98.

I just find it interesting that, at the times I 'tripped' I didn't have any CH (though was always afraid of getting a CH during a trip and either ripping my head off or jumping off a building.) I gave up 'tripping' because I got bad at it I guess. Too many bad trips - the kid had to break away. The kid went chronic. Had a bit of a break in '01 from shrooms, but thought it a coincidence.

This here, I am convinced - the way I have been the last year and a half, is no coincidence.

im so glad for ya , im almost there . i have went back to
work. but i got hit so hard friday night, it left my head
sore the next day. im getting closer than i have ever
could have thought . im an electrician of 20 yrs im glad
all my yrs of working at this. im able to use my skills.
again, not easy but who ever said it was. PF WISHES D

The 'shrooms seem to have brought a lot of life back, while you're young too. Hope it stays that way Carl. Keep it up.
Too bad about the bass. Get it going Carl and do some song writing. The book sounds good but live the life you've missed Carl. I want to hear some songs about coming back from the edge. Back in black baby.
