Title: Re: What have you done for your supporter lately? Post by Lizzie2 on Mar 4th, 2005, 9:27pm Wel right now I'm watching a movie with my mom (although at the same time I am also annoying her by typing on my laptop and also I had to pause the movie to complain about a problem with scheduling our critical care clinical that I just found out about!) I think tomorrow my mom and I are going to the mall together. She's probably my biggest supporter in person...even though we don't always see eye to eye on things. I'm not always thrilled when she tells me that I stress her out and that she is going crazy because of me. That's not always a "supportive" type statement, even if it is true! It makes me feel like a burden. But nonetheless...she is my biggest supporter, and I would do anything I could to have her know that! I only wish I knew what I could do to make things easier on her. Besides her and my dad, my other biggest supporter is my neuro who lives in Singapore now. He listens to all my venting via email. :) He has been very supportive even though he no longer lives in the USA! I wish I knew what to do to show my thanks for him, but I do say thanks in just about every email I send! L2 :) |

Title: Re: What have you done for your supporter lately? Post by Mr. Happy on Mar 4th, 2005, 11:22pm I had a hot cup of coffee waiting for her when she came thru the door. The laundry was folded. Then, she was served a 4 course dinner......after the kids were out till 9 PM. I offered cheap sex, but she decided on a nap instead. (Fucking Viagra is still pounding my eyes out of my skull.) I should have done more, right? RJ |

Title: Re: What have you done for your supporter lately? Post by Kevin_M on Mar 5th, 2005, 12:11am I've got the unbelievable tolerance of this board that I reciprocate by posting more sub-intelligent stuff for all to tolerate more. What more can I bestow to preclude a STFU. I try to spare all you supporters with moderation. Be happy I don't have anything to say 90% of the time. I'm not one to spare acknowledging gratitude for the spirited banter from those still accepting my pm's either. A special supporter here has reached the "irreplaceable" status and get's their ear bent regularly without any consideration for their tolerance of me or my regard of their thoughts if I were to possibly send them my ear I would hack off for them. Other specials here deserve more timely annoyances by me, but my shortcomings apply equally though in a vast array of ways. Reminds me, time to Pay Pal DJ another $1.25. Kevin M |

Title: Re: What have you done for your supporter lately? Post by Kim Y. on Mar 6th, 2005, 12:42am My supporter is my hubby and I thank him every chance I get. Today I threw a B-Day party for him and in his card I thanked him for being my rock. He holds me when I cry and I feel him hurt when he can't take the beast away. He doesn't ever voice it but I just know. He has been great and I keep telling him so. I also am thankful for all of you. I vent and whine and you listen and advise. SO THANK YOU ;;D |

Title: Re: What have you done for your supporter lately? Post by Gator on Mar 6th, 2005, 1:05am Well, since she had an extremely hectic week at work, I tucked her into bed early last night and let her sleep until she woke up on her own at 9:30 this morning. She slept the better part of 12 hours. :o Very unusual for her. I guess she was just plum tuckered out. I then cooked a 5 course dinner for us and some friends tonight and cleaned up afterwards. Tonight was Cajun night at the Gator residence: Jambalaya, Crawfish Pie, File' Gumbo (for tonight I'm going to see my ma cher-o me oh), Shrimp Etouffee and Croquignoles for dessert. All from scratch, mind you. And you thought I was just another pretty face. |

Title: Re: What have you done for your supporter lately? Post by kimh on Mar 6th, 2005, 5:03pm Brian is my husband - we take care of eachother. Give and take push and pull - it's a marriage and clusters just happens to be part of the "in sickness and health" thingies. I am his supporter in life and that has required me doing my part as his partner - i'm confident that i have accomplished that. As for my many supporters through friendship, i try and give back of myself in friendship. It's building blocks that may not seem significant rite away, but over time become obvious and, if we are lucky, cherished*** PS: MAN O MAN Gator ;;D That food sounds freakin AWSOME! Cajun food from scratch ain't nuttin to yawn about! I've stirred up some decent etoufee and can make a pretty happnin jambalaya mesself ;) Delicious and a lot of work. Do you make your own stock? Do you make your own rue? It takes lots of practice gettin that stuff just rite :) Lucky woman who is a settin at your table :) Good thread Svenn! PF wishes all :) |

Title: Re: What have you done for your supporter lately? Post by TxBasslady on Mar 7th, 2005, 12:07am What have I done.......? Wow It seems like too little when I think about it. My supporter, well she is always there for me....no matter what . I try and talk to her every day, but seems like other things happen in my life, and I fail to talk to her as much as I would like. However, when I do talk to her, I make sure she knows how special she is to me. I never hang up the phone without telling her I love her. To be honest, I think this probably is not enough. I don't know what to do to really show her what she means to me. I sometimes wonder.....does she really know just how special a person she is? Without her I would be lost and wandering. I am so very thankful.....thankful for my CH Angel, and also for the rest of my great supporters; (you know who you are). I love you with all my heart. I have never had friends like the ones here. So special a place.....so much love in my heart. Jean |

Title: Re: What have you done for your supporter lately? Post by PrettyH8Machine on Mar 7th, 2005, 10:34pm Lemme see... Besides give her the last 2 months off, babysat for my nephew Elijah, which is a joy for me anyways. Gives her a break and gives me smiles. Now if he would just stop kneeing me everytime he jumps in my lap! GOD!!!!! Funny, he is 5 and a pain in the groin. My niece is 13 and a pain in the ass! LOL. I love 'em both like they were my own. I feel kinda bad though. I cursed my bro and sis in law and told them they would have a kid just like me, and my niece was born. She was into Barney, Spice Girls, Britney, Boy Meets World, Lizzie Mcguire... ..now she paints her eyes & nails black, listens to punk music, and dresses in black. I wonder where she gets THAT from. ;;D She says she wants to be a singer and do benefits for OUCH. Ya gotta love a kid with a heart. Just goes to show you somebody in the family has been paying attention. Peace, Carl |
